  1. I'd choose McNeil over Harrison any day. Jack Harrison has been a big disappointment for me.
  2. I'm sure we're spending a lot of time practicing set pieces, including corners. A few seasons ago, our corners were predictably terrible. Today, they are the source of several of our goals. More can be done, for sure, regarding finishing in open play, but that's more down to individual players.
  3. Watching Beto against Brighton, I thought he was quite decent. Like DC-L, he needs a goal or two to boost confidence.
  4. A life sentence seems very harsh. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2024/02/former-everton-star-li-tie-sentenced-to-life-in-prison/
  5. I think Luton will be safe. Forest are the ones in deep trouble.
  6. There's no way the authorities can change the rules and apply two financial penalties in one financial year. Such a decision would surely be overturned. What would make sense is deferring any second points reduction to the next season.
  7. We’d have taken a draw before the game started, playing away against a decent team. Yes it’s disappointing to lose two points at the very end, but it’s not a bad result.
  8. In which case the fans should sue for unnecessary mental anguish.
  9. There has to be two decisions: 1) Should Everton's 10-point reduction be upheld or should it be reduced? I'm hoping for it to be halved. 2) Should Everton face two point deductions in the same season? The answer to this really has to be "no".
  10. The PL spokesperson has apparently promised a decision on February 30th.
  11. Boston Toffee has extended his lead for the season, and per prediction, by predicting a 1-1 draw with Palace. Palfy leads the chase and is in the lead for the month of February.
  12. You mean like keeping Maguire or Henderson on the England football team? Continuity is important, for sure, but loyalty can be taken too far. There must be a ruthless streak in team selectors to build a legacy.
  13. No rumour. I just don't want to see 'Lukaku' show up under 'Transfer Rumours' every time I log in to TT.
  14. For the City game, it's a 10-pointer for Palfy, who shoots into the lead for February and into second place for the season and per prediction. Boston Toffee maintains his lead.
  15. Most of us predicted a draw against Spurs, but congrats to AlbanyNYToffee and Goodison Glory for predicting 2-2. They now lead for the month of February. Boston Toffee leads for the season and per prediction.
  16. He just needs to keep doing what he's doing. We've just emerged from a tough stretch of games, and all the cup distractions are in the past, so now we can focus on a sequence of games that are especially important. Things could look a lot better after playing Palace and Brighton. Sheffield United and Burnley look like certs for relegation, while Luton are playing well. Our sights must be firmly on Forest and Palace, which is why our next game is so crucial.
  17. For the first time this season, I missed a prediction. I was traveling but am home again now. I'll catch up shortly.
