  1. Beattie and Gudjonsen are different type of players. Beattie is a striker and Eidur is a deep lying forward. Eidur is a final ball specialist (just like Bergkamp) and i'd love to have him in my side. Mourinho wont sell him to us though, you guys and maybe some other mid table table teams hae a decent chance.
  2. Talking of gays: "Is McFadden gay?" Sorry. Had to get that in!
  3. Oh. His wife and kids are in Spain and he is having 'family problems' (basically means : NOT ENOUGH SEX ).
  4. also, getting him on a 'free' is not going to happen as he has 3 years remaining on his current deal.
  5. Zenden was Boro's player of the year for two successive (not back to back ) season. He had demoted Kewell and Riise and was playing regularly for us in the left midfield position. Boro fans were VERY angry that he was going on a free. Secondly, his injury is not as chronic as VDM, meaning its a one off one, so calling him 'crocked' is a bit of a disservice to Bolo. That said, Boudewijn IMO, is in Rafa's plans for the season and will not be sold and Garcia is leaving and Bolo is excellent cover for both the left as well as the middle of midfield.
  6. A good cup run is needed to get the side back to retaining 'that winning feeling' and them Everton can build on it.
  7. Thats coz he gets played in a defensive role by Sven. Lampard is the one that gets the freedom to go forward.
  8. TBH, most deals with the lower divisions are structured ones anyway.
  9. I dont really think selling Wright would be a problem. He'd be a good keeper at a good championship side. 1 million maybe. Does he have two years left in his contract?
  10. How do you define a new team? Get rid of the ones you've got and get quality players in all remaining positions? Is it is even logical thinking?
  11. Well, then they never saw the derby where Gerrard was sent off within 20 minutes. And several other games where Sissoko and other carried the team withouh much of Gerrard. But yesterday, only Gerrard, Cisse and Finnan showed up.
  12. Maybe VDM is on huge wages (i am assuming that he is, dutch international, former inter player and all) and him being injured all the time is not helping Moyes. Another viewpoint on the situation...
  13. Seville were too techical for Boro. Navas was better than Morrison, Renato was better than Rochemback, Luis Fabiano was better than Mark Viduka and so on. Although, they didnt deserve to lose 4-0, Seville were too good for them. But the tactics of McLaren should defo be questioned. Why would he want his team to give such technical Brazilians and Spaniards so much time on the ball, i rarely saw any Boro player except Boateng close anybody down and still they got the better off him. (as seen by the no. of freekicks Boateng gave away). On the other hand, Boro got very little space to work with and were always using the long ball and hope that something would come of it. Viduka's 2 chances missed and the penalty appeal turned down could well have been the turning point of the match. MOTM Jesus Navas. (Liverpool are looking at him and Dani Alves (the guy who crossed for the 1st goal) for quite a while now but Alves has a first option clause with Barca).
  14. I get your point, Licker. But Carrick does not have the obedience to sit in front of the defence for 90 minutes. If Lampard and Gerrard are given aggressive roles, there is a serious need for a defensive midfielder who'd sit in front of the defence and cut out the space behind them.(Also, Carrick does not have the big match international experience). My first choice would have been Scott Parker, but he seems to be injured. On Downing, i'd prefer a left footed player who can cross on the left. Dont like Cole cutting in all the time. But Joe cole has done a great job for England on the left, so i guess i wont have any problems playing him. Yeah, you're right. He should have named another striker, in place of Downing.
  15. BTW, this squad has 451 written all over it. Crouch up top with Joe Cole behind him maybe? -----Robinson------ Neville---terry----carra---a cole ---------------Hargreaves----- Beckham---Gerrard---Chumpard---downing/Cole -------------Crouch--------- Theo Walcott over Defoe, Bent, Andy Johnson, Beattie and Vassell? Lennon over SWP?! Svens an idiot.
  16. Haha. But a fan of a club wouldn't want to join its rival. Scouse, i'd disagree with you. I think he'd be a good acquisition for Everton. He do a good job on playing off a big guy as well. He's a player i rate.
  17. Yes. Its an open secret that he wants to play for Liverpool.
  18. Weir wants to play in two leagues at the same time, the premier league and the senior league.
  19. If you dont have the budjet, try looking at young players or old players. You'll never be able to afford good players at their peak. Strikers:- Paulo Vitti (indipendiente) Lebohang Mokoena (Orlando Pirates) Rivaldo (still good at Olympiakos) Ben Watson is a decent player in the cm position. And try looking in holland and belgium for defenders. You'll find loads of good ones there. Olivier Deschacht, Zuiverloon etc. Pena from Villareal will give a two good seasons.
  20. Good little player. Although he has his on days and his off days, he is better than you you have currently got.
  21. If Ferrari was that good, he would have got more chances than the others. Else, injuries have got to him.
