    Reality check.In our defence we did have a game 3 days ago but with the strength of squad now should cope with it.

    Felli - just want to hold on to him this season as i think he'll be key to setting us up for the future. Others also deserving too tonight, Howard and Distin IMO.

    Dignified responses I thought. That's why it takes a particular sort of person to manage EFC. Respect to and from the press. I don't want to lose him but was he suggesting a young British manager for us if he did? Agree get rid of Lineker and his cosy bunch of overpaid cronies on MOTD. It's a tired format and needs a fresh approach IMO.

    Saw him play several times in the late 60s when first started supporting Everton. RIP Gordon.

    A Goodison legend, will be sorry to see him go but if he can make a few quid in the Gulf or elsewhere - good luck to him. I can't see him managing in this country - probably wants to go back to Oz for the long term.

    Aren't we a top team? OK slightly off the pace at the moment but as the other top teams have tripped up big time on occasions this season if we hadn't dropped stupid points we'd be a lot higher than 9th now.
