  1. I'm not starting a Remy thread but just to use him as an example of what else is out there.... Reports suggest he is available for 8-11mil to a top 6 club, for a proven goalscorer that's not a bad price in today's market. Lukaku, though much younger would command twice that fee and will be looking to move on in a few years time to bigger things the moment a more "attractive" club showed interest. In the time we are courting a player who is clearly delaying his decision hoping a CL club of stature comes in for him we will miss out on players like Remy who will be snapped up. Someone mentioned earlier that had we done our business 2 weeks earlier last summer we more than likely would have taken the full points from our first 3 games and got CL. Bobby Likes Lukaku and that's great but if, after a season here he doesn't already realise this is the best club and best manager to help him learn and develop then I doubt he'll work it out over the summer. Problem is he already thinks he's the finished article. In the time we are waiting we could be damaging our CL chances. Wee rant over - and bloody difficult to write on a poxy iPhone.
  2. Big Rom's twitter bio now reads and official striker for Belgium and Chelsea. expect a full twitter meltdown by lunch time. It's that quiet this transfer window this and the lack of socks at Everton One are considered news
  3. I can't wait for the lad to make his mind up. Whether it's with us or somewhere else it feels like we won't be moving forward in the transfer market until his future is sorted
  4. At 3 mil he's not a bad player. Wages will be extortionate mind.
  5. it's safe to say the papers have no clue what he's doing and caughtoffside are a joke of a website. The shite are cash rich at the moment and will linked with everyone for the next couple of week. If the papers link him to enough clubs they have a chance of getting it right
  6. Bad news O'keefe loves to piss on everyone's chips
  7. Spanish papers all running with it. Don't know him but Martinez was a big big fan of the Colombians so no surprise if he's made an approach for 1.
  8. Probably not but with 3 cup comps he will get his fair share of games. Gibbo's legs are made out of Jenga so he is hardly reliable as cover
  9. They still owe us money for the Felliani deal I read somewhere.
  10. Any idea how much he would likely go for?
  11. I like him, a simple tidy player who will let Barkley flourish. He will also benefit from Gaz Barry's experience. I really hope we sign him
  12. In a market where Shaw goes for 30m and Lallana goes for 25 the mirror could at least but a realistic number down. Let silly season commence
  13. Agreed! And we could get all 3 for roughly the same price Lukaku is expected to go too. My main issue with Rodwell isn't his ability, it's his fitness issues. The lack of first team football at City probably hasn't helped
  14. Non World Cup players due back early next week as is Martinez according to ESPN
  15. The positives are that he is a tidy footballer (never going to do what Ross does but still tidy non the less) and has potential to get better. The fact Berto rates him speaks volumes. He isn't injury prone like Gibbo and being English and young if he finds form again like so many players have with us his resale value can rocket. For the right price it makes sense.
  16. Greg O'Keeffe just tweeted the Barry deal agreed rumour is wide off the mark. Talks are ongoing but Barry yet to make up his mind.
  17. The home shirt should be simple in design. Ideally a white collar but I like the nod to the 95 kit. The away kit is where I would like to see some originality
  18. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/chelsea-transfer-news-victor-moses-3745878 No thank you!
  19. Doesn't surprise me, QPR will throw money at him and that's what he's after, the best paying contract. Make no mistake about it the reason he didn't sign for Inter is they would have expected him to start on a smaller salary and work his way up to the mega bucks.
