  1. awful. headless at the top, middle, and the back.
  2. I was about to comment on how dreadful we looked in this first quarter of the game, and now coleman scored one. YAY! Im still skeptical. Jags and Stones will have their work cut out. COYB.
  3. You could hear the crowd cheering at 35'. Now I know why
  4. I would say the same. But why no Atsu? Also, how about Tyias Browning? Everton can keep Coleman ready for the Gooners. I am all for Kone starting. I bemoan the fact Howard will start, but Martinez is set about his ways. Why do I still feel slightly worried about this match ?
  5. I'd say that's as close to a first team line-up you are going to get. COYB!
  6. How competitive is the Swiss league? The way I see it, they are sounded by the Bundesliga, Ligue 1, and Serie A. Does that mean that the Swiss league is a stepping stone to one of the more tougher leagues? Does this make it hard for the Swiss league to retain talent and keep suitors away?
  7. If Tim starts tomorrow, so be it. But I think Robles will fill dejected. Tim will be the one to watch tomorrow. I guess that is not said often about a goal keeper, but it will be exciting to see how he performs. On comparing the two. I feel that Robles has much to improve on, but we have seen that happen in the last few games. I think his distribution is promising. He has great versatility, but his decision making needs working on. It almost cost against Liverpool when he came out to snub out Sterling. Finally, I think Tim edges out on dominating in the box with punches. All the pressure is on Tim now. Not Robles.
  8. I guess it's okay we bring Tim back in for Joel? Before Tim was injured were we even considering putting in Robles between the posts? A lot of pressure will be on Tim to preform, but against a team like Chelsea it will be a huge challenge, and one he will hopefully relish. On another note, I think it's bad taste that Tim is broadcasting premier games. He should be focusing on the club and improving his game rather than blabbering away. Too much of a distraction if you ask me.
  9. I feel Lukaku needs to grab some bench, but going against Chelsea maybe he will want to prove something more to his former employer. I think that reasoning is bullshit though, he hasn't proven himself lately. Why not give Kone a go? He probably can't go a full 90, but you could still unleash Lukaku as super sub.
  10. Mo fo sho. Honorable mentions to Oviedo, Robles, and Naismith.
  11. Robles, Stones, Jags, and Mo are the only ones that have stood out for me. Lukaku ugh. THE TACKLES, YES! If anything we have been beating them up, but have not threatened Mignolet in the slightest.
  12. Ordered the Everton away kit a week ago, just arrived today. COYB!
  13. It's an veining kick-off, right? I've read that the city has been fighting to have the game played earlier in the day due to security reasons. It sounds like it will be a high intensity night. Maybe your buddy shouldn't wear any red depending on where you're sitting. I went to the Everton v. Spurs match in 2012 at White Heart Lane and wore my Everton jersey. The people around me certainly tried to make me feel uncomfortable, but I guess I got the full experience in that case. I don't mean to sound like a debbie downer if I have. I had a fantastic time, and Im really jealous myself that you are going. I want to do the same one day.
  14. The lineup Im pulling out of my hat. Robles Stones Jags Baines Coleman Besic Barry Oviedo Barkley Naismith Lukaku I really have no idea how Martinez will set up against West Brom. With McGeady out I would have Coleman in a midfield position, but I think this has been attempted before and it did not work well. I'm not really sure what the status is with Mirallas. Is he playing through an injury? can he go a full 90? doubt it. It will be interesting what the setup will look like. I have a feeling that West Brom will play long ball to Big Vic and try to test our back line. Everton need a clean sheet if they want to say they have been improving these last few games. It needs to start now rather than later.
  15. It only takes a win, and another, and another, and another, and then we will be fine. I think I read on here somewhere that Martinez would have Everton win the Europa League, but relegated down into the championship. Everton will not be relegated. I have faith in the players if not in Martinez to keep us afloat. Hypotheticals can be ridiculous sometimes and then again there is a reason why some of us are thinking relegation. I have only been an Everton supporter/follower for a few years and this is the first time that this has been discussed with some seriousness.
  16. I only caught the last 10 minutes of the game. It looked cagey there at the end. I liked the link up play between McGeady and Oviedo on the left hand side. I guess Martinez gave him instruction to overload on that side and it worked because I think the goal came in. Oviedo is a real talent. Im glad he is back
  17. I could see that, but then again does Everton want to give away the best left back in Europe :dont know: ?? Putting Oviedo into the mix I wonder where that leaves Garbutt then. Oviedo plays left outside mid, and Garbutt is Everton's future Leftback. or vice-versa.

I know what your saying, but lets hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

Naismith will be the player that lights a fire under the rest of the squads asses/arses for this match. He's a fighter and hopefully the rest of the team will develop a Naismith mentality. Everton needs to show more grit. Lets get a clean sheet. I'm not sold on Robles yet, but lets see what he can do for the next few games. He needs to show up. 3-0 2- Naismith, Baines.
  20. Gave it to Baines. Having to play out of position he did well. His assist to Mirallas was amazing. Why can't we do more of that?
