    What's going to be even worse and revealing is if (when?) we play this way against the lower shite teams, but I can see every team in the Prem either winning or at least drawing against us based on our performance of the last few matches.

    I got the prediction correct unfortunately. I couldn't see anything differently going into this, other than possibly 4 or 5 by Spurs, but I gave EFC the benefit of the doubt.

    I don't mean this with any sense if sarcasm: we look like we are in a different league, as in a Premier League team vs a Championship side. There is THAT wide a gap in quality.

    Of course I want the win, but TBH, if we play with pace, spirit, heart, intelligence, commitment, etc and we lose, OK, but at least that means we are on the right track for the future. Right now I feel like we are going nowhere in a 700+ HP Ferrari.....blue of course.

    Exactly. And to have to reach back THAT far for a stellar performance (was it though, honestly?) is worrisome. I'm not in the "Sack Koeman" camp by any means, but I'm now scratching my head at our performances for a while now wondering wtf is going on. We've made some inroads since Martinez left, but we've also hit some brick walls.

    For me it's s pattern, not just another match. Still sorting players and formation? Fine. At least give it a go. Today they didn't. TBH Chelsea looked average, nothing special. Not one shot on target. Pathetic.

    I'm genuinely worried right now. I know we need time, it's virtually a new team. However, there is such precious LITTLE creativity that I feel like we are down the wrong road right now. I don't know the answer, but we're not far off from the Martinez era aside from a slightly tighter defence.
