i heard a couple of evertonians the otha day tlkn about remaning the main stand "the Brian Labone stand". I think this would be a good idea and a fitting tribute to a man who have his all to our club. What do u all think?

was also too young to see him play, but from what ive heard and from old videos/dvds ive seen he was a true eveton legend who will never be forgotten and he was somone who gave 110% to everything he did. depsite me being a young un, im truly gutted by this. my dad is devastated, he was his hero. in fact, he still is! brian was Everton and Everton was him. im hoping to go, my dad wants to go he was there in 1986, and is still bitter. wants revenge! i read that there were 8000 tickets available for evertonians and that we had to buy them on the day. is that true or can we book them over the phone? in the latest issue of the evertonian there is an interview with bobby mimms who reckons he is in goal forit, and that neville southall will be on the bench for him. it says its the same team that played in that match so it will be amazing to see these legends play. I wasnt even born then, and ive always wanted to see the team of the glory days of the eighties. ive had to make do with my dads videos so far!

At the risk of sounding completely naive here but I need to ask! If Arsenal win the champions league but finish fifth, that means spurs wont qualify for the champions league next season if they finish fourth right? this is becasue of liverpool throwing a hissy fit last year. But if thats the rule that applies, how come our place wasnt taken away from us although we finished fourth, one place above the winners last year? sorry if im sounding clueless here!

why is it that in every Everton forum i go on, it is always infested with RS? y do they take the time to register with a specifically Everton message board? i personally wouldnt do the same to them (because i'd come away with an IQ in the minus numbers but thats besides the point!) because they arent worth wasting breath on! is Everton actually more important to them than they let on? because they all seem to have this urge to post on our message boards. are they closet blues??

we all know that we will have to take plenty of strikers because that is the way u win games against the likes of brazil, by having plenty up front. As a biased evertonian and a beattie fan, i would love to see beatts there, i feel he offers more than crouch. however, he needed to perform on saturday for sven to really start considering him. he needs to get himself on the scoresheet a couple of times this saturday. i think sven should take rooney, owen, bent, ashton and beattie. i do agree however, that Everton isnt thought of as "fashionable" i.e. we arent chelsea, arsenal, united or as much as i hate to say it, liverpool. there are a few of evertons other players that shud be considered by sven such as hibbert. but lets face it, it wont happen. sorry for the rant!
