  1. So has the fella who's won two manager of the year awards in the past three years but apparently he hasn't got a clue
  2. Forgive me if I'm wrong but wasnt he already joint manager of Sunderland and took them down.............
  3. Duncan's obviously on his way out then!
  4. Newell, Jewell, Cotterill? Granted Jewell is having a good season but what happens when he can't sustain it and the knives are out like they are for Moyes now? The discussion as to sack Davey and pay up all the contracts and pay compensation for a new manager or keep him and let him spend more money is a personal opinion and i have mine. My personal view is not through blue tinted glasses and whoever said they have been watching Everton longer than me and can remember the good old days obviously is speaking passionately. I watched the boys through the eighties and loved it when we were one of the top two but those days are long gone. Of course i'm not happy with our performances or goal tally but what i'm saying is Moyes should have the chance to turn it around until at least the end of the season. It kills me but we are not and haven't been a top team for years and it takes steady work to build us up again. With no money who is going to wave the magic wand and get us up there with a chance of Champions league? The only one I can think of is the one man who has already done it. Since the Premier league has been here who has achieved such a feat? Nobody seems to think its such a big deal on what we achieved because they think its a god given right for a club as big as ours to have. I think Moyes is being let down badly by some supporters, we almost sound as fickle as the Red Shite sometimes.
  5. Looking at the table if we win a couple it moves us to mid-table.I'm going for 2-0 Beattie double.
  6. I've stayed away form the forum for a while cos i knew i would be depressed with what i read but i never thought it would be this bad. I am a Moyes supporter but i'm not going to over enthuse about him at this moment in time because judging by the recent performances the players are not behind him and the writing may be on the wall. It won't be Kenwright making that decision cos we all know he has a great relationship with Davie and as per usual with Bill he will wait for Moyes to stand up and make the statement himself. In the year 2005 we have only gained 38 points which is simply not good enough and Moysie knows that. This is a man who has won the manager of the year award 2 years out of 3 which is remarkable considering the men he beat and is still highly regarded as one of the top managers in the prem outside the blue half of the city. To the people or person who says the club has stood still under Moyes needs to have a fucking word with himself and remember what we had before Moyes was here and remind himself that we have had the 2 of the most exciting and enjoyable seasons of the last 10 years. It kills me to hear how disrespectful and what little they remember, they are dismissing what moyes has done last year and that he deserves at least another year and a half to get it right. To list old twats and no-marks like Graham, Basset and Reid to replace Davie is laughable and shameful. We are all passionate Evertonians and that means more than any outsider knows but we have got to be realistic, last year has hightened everybodys expectations when probably we were not ready and we are a victim of our own sucsess. I suspect Davie is hurting just as much as the rest of us and he knows like us it could have been so much different.
  7. How can you be optimistic after the last two games? If we play like we know we can we should win just got to watch Baros i'm going for 1-2 Beattie and Arteta.
  8. On ToffeeWeb there is an absolutely brilliant interview with Phil Neville from the Independent. Im not very technical so if one of you lads can put it on here it would be great. It goes on about what he thinks of the club you really need to read it lads!!!
  9. It's sad to see what has happened to him because last year he was good for us. Alright he wasn't great in front of goal but he led the well and was a threat. However this year he seems to have lost the motivation and desire to work hard. If pulling that Blue shirt on a a saturday does nothing for you then i'm afraid its time to move on. I think Bent has good ability and has the talent to be an important member of the squad but if he can't be arsed then Moysie can show him the door.
  10. He's been absolutely magnificent for us and he should be captain. I hope Ferguson doesn't have any ideas of buying him back in January god he needs him!
  11. Twat of a game but we seem to get a result when were things are against us. 1-0 Beattie. If faddy is injured i think it'll be one up front with the midfield being packed.
  12. The lad is a die hard Blue and would walk to us if given the chance. He can hardly come out and say he doesn't want to be there if there is no chance of him coming to us. The lad doesnt want to be a target of abuse for his own fans, he is just playing the game!
  13. It's been on Sky Sports that Henrik Larson is considering his future at Barcelona. I know he's getting on but if none of our top targets come off in January I would deffo make a move for him on a 6 month deal. The one thing he would bring would be goals, he's an old fashioned sniffer and would be good for the likes of Vaughan and Faddy to learn off.
  14. Now its only a couple of weeks to and we are getting linked with everybody there's one thing saying who we would like at the club but its another thing to see who we actually get. WHO I'D LIKE: Andy Johnson- All depends if AJ puts in a transfer request to make the plane to Germany. With Palace near promotion places I can't see them wanting to sell. David Nugent- I think he has enormous potential, when i've watched him in the league and for England 21's he is full of pace and an eye for goal. Would play off Beattie excellently. Thomas Gravesen- We all know about Tommy. Although he is often inconsistent but the 6 months before he left showed what a quality player he is.I ultimately think his wages are way too high now unless we give him a big signing on fee. I do think we'll see him in January but in a red shirt. WHO WE WILL GET: David Nugent- I don't Moysie will get many players in January but i think an offer of £2 million with add ons for England squads and the like will get him. What does everybody else think?
  15. I think Moysie will give him his chance in the next couple of weeks and then i think you'll find he'll be a regular with him and Yobo finishing the season as our first choice pairing.
  16. He's being linked with a £1.5 mill move to Charlton. If thats the going price its a bargain.
  17. I've knocked Wright in the past and was the first to say he had a good game yesterday. However all the saves he made were well dealt with but no more so than any other decent keeper should be making. I will be made up if he continues this form until Nige gets fit but as first choice no way.

    West Ham Utd

Gotta be looking at 3 points. They're not a great side and defensively they are there for the taking. Arteta back in for Ossie i think which is a bit harsh for him unless Moysie plays Ossie on the left. 2-1 Beattie and Faddy.
  19. I imagine he will want assurances to be in the first team otherwise i just can't see him making the move to Madrid.Still hopeful he'll come to us.
  20. I thought we played quite well, Neville was oustanding for me. He was always there picking up the second ball and his distribution was clinical as usual. Wright did everything that was asked of him and i hope it continues. With a bit more luck we could have stole it but 1-1 was a fair result.
  21. just been on Sky Sports that he will complete his medical at Madrid Tommrow
  22. Its not just this game thats the problem, it's the fact we've got so many games coming up and Van the Man is looking better every week teams know they have to cut his quality crosses and Arteta's out. If we can just grab a draw Arteta's back next week.
  23. We should piss all over that group methinks
  24. Its getting worse with Andy Van out but i think the team picks itself apart from either Bent playing or Kilbane. I think Moyes has had enough of Bent so it'll probably be Killa.
