  1. Just been thinking that our two next games are absolutely massive. Wins at Newcastle and West Ham would pull us up towards the top eight and with games at home against Fulham, Sunderland, West Brom and Birmingham to come europe could come round again this year.I'd snap your hand off for 4 points at of these two games.
  2. Some people pay good money for that kind of thing
  3. Bramble and Dyer are injured.Don't know if thats good or bad really. I think if we scored an early goal we could beat them quite comfortably. I'm going for 0-2 Beattie (pen) and Ossie.
  4. The lad is twenty.I like him, he makes chances and provides goals and he scores all types of goals form tap ins to 30 yard volleys!
  5. Yeah I think Ruddy will play on saturday with Westerveld covering.
  6. I think it's fairly obvious to say he went to watch Nugent play against Premiership opposition. He played well by all accounts too.
  7. Reading the Echo yesterday and it was interesting to see Keith Wyness telling us that Scott Parker's wage demands were met and the player was ready and wanted to sign for us.Then apparently the agent then asked for £1 million for himself.Wyness told him to do one. Wyness went on to say he had to draw a line somewhere and he thought Newcastle were mad to pay it but knew they would.
  8. Agreed. I can't see us going out and splashing the cash. A forward or two is a must. Johnson for me every time. I would hope to keep Ferrari and get a right back.It will be interesting to see who goes down cos Pennant would be a good addition and maybe Lua Lua?
  9. Who do you want to manage us Capello? What manager's currently managing have won anything apart from the obvious choice? I agree with the Kenwright statements but i really don't see how much more Moyes can do without a huge outlay of funds. It hurts me to say but what right do we expect to be up there with Chelsea? We've spent peanuts compared to Newcastle, Liverpool, Spurs etc. If we continue the way we have lately we should finish top eight and thats the last three out of four seasons we have been challenging for europe. What more realistically do some people want? I think the quicker us Evertonians realise that to the outside world we are seen as a comparable to Villa, Boro, City and not the top echelon that we were used to.
  10. I think every squad needs somebody like Kilbane. He may not be the most graceful of players and that makes him a target of abuse but he tries and doesn't go hiding. He is coming into the type of form when he first came and i'm made up for him.
  11. Just a little note to say i don't think its any coincedence that since he has returned as a regular we have put a good run on.His form has been consistantly excellent and he is proving to be a class all round midfielder.
  12. What do we all think? Can't see us going there and turning them over but we might hold them and do them on pens. Mind you when was the last time we won a shoot out?
  13. I agree in a way with both opinions but i definately feel that we have to get in now and agree with these clubs (Palace, Preston etc) that if they dont come up we will agree to buy this player for this amount. As soon as the season is finished we make the deal public and get them in for the entire pre-season so they can settle in and not waste another six months of a season. If we would have had even a slightly better start to the season we should be around 6-7th place with a view to challenging for a euro-place.Wherever we finish this year we need to make a clear intention of our ambition in the summer and come out mean
  14. down will be Sunderland, West Brom, Portsmouth
  15. I think it will be 0-0 but i'm hoping we might sneak it though.
  16. I think 1-0 is as much as we can hope for.Lets get amongst them and ruff em up a bit.
  17. If you look at his goal he knew fook all about it going in.Wait till he gets a few one on ones and then the addicks will know he is not a finisher.
  18. I think we have to remember that for the most of last season the most succesfull central defensive partnership was Weir and Stubbs and they contributed massively.Okay their best days are beyond them but its not the end of the world. What is important is the money generated goes to a fast forward who can copliment Beattie who for me has been outstanding in recent weeks.
  19. Without Joey who plays Henry so well I'm not that optimistic, 0-0 would do me.
  20. He's a had a quiet start but so has Cahill. He's only 20 so he is entitled to a dip. Ashton was exactly the same. It just takes somebody to gamble and I would.
  21. I can't for the life of me see why he bought Pompey but now that he has he has splashed out on £12 millions worth of talent and it wont stop there this January. Just think with that amount of money we could have bought two top quality forwards a midfielder and maybe a centre half. We would certainly push up the league and be up there for europe. It makes you wonder what fat Bill does with his time cos i know for sure its not sounding out potential investors!!!!
  22. Its gonna be tough but if we keep it 0-0 for the first 30 mins we will have a good chance. 2-1 Cahill and Beattie
  23. Can't see where the money would come from to get him.It would have to be a loan with a view to a permanent move. He's class alright just ask the shite and how they rated him.He would score a fair few but he's an absolute prick so i don't really want him.He must be worth a few quid considering how many big moves he's had.
  24. If reports are true Middlesborough are ready to offload on a free.I think he would be a good signing for a year. He certainly knows were the goal is and likes a dig from anywhere, just what we need.
