  1. To be honest to put Allardyce and tactics in the same sentence, is an insult to the game of football imo.
  2. All we can do is be magnanimous and say well done, through gritted teeth of course, and hope that all the players and coaches feel the same disappointment as the fans, at the gulf between the teams and try harder next season to close the gap, and we will support their efforts for doing so.
  3. Possibly mate sounds plausible, I hope he can get over the disappointment, it would be great to see him there for the first game, after all it’s still his vision and design.
  4. We don’t know if the club did or didn’t put a case forward for him to be involved with the main contractor, from what I gather he did tender to do the works but was unsuccessful. Like you and many others I would like to think he was given every opportunity to be awarded the contract, but he just couldn’t get within his competitors price, I’m sure he was preferred contractor, but in business it’s the bottom line figure that wins not sentiment. I’ve experienced many disappointments like this, and you soon realise not to take it personally, because you just beat yourself up, my philosophy is water off a ducks back, and onto the next project.
  5. This country is fucked politically, the blind tribal influences that lead people to follow like lambs to the slaughter, certain factions no matter what their failings or crimes to the populace is staggering.
  6. The perfect game plan don’t concede and you can’t lose, simple really.
  7. He was poor last night definitely a bad day at the office, but I’m not righting him off just yet. I think the heat got to him and he melted, let’s be honest people of his colouring struggle in the sun and heat, he was closes looking one out there to the Milky bar Kid not designed for that weather
  8. Personally I think his biggest handicap to the PL is his size, I fear he is always going struggle with being bullied off the ball.
  9. Like a lot of teams they struggled the other night, just thought I’d mention that just in case people think it’s only us who haven’t come back firing on all cylinders. I can see it being a close game but with our defence registering to shut outs they will be full of confidence, predict a win for us no negative comments please let’s believe and be positive.
  10. Standard practice for all elements to go out to tender, welcome to my world nothing is guaranteed in the building industry until you’ve got the order signed off and in your hand.
  11. It’s sad when you put it that way, considering the money we have spent in that department.
  12. Agreed the midfield is our Achilles heel at the moment, we’ve known that for the last 4-5 years now, and successive managers have just added more rubbish to compound the problem. We have to believe Carlo is the man to right a lot of wrongs.
  13. Happy to mate and make sure your guards up and gum shields in
  14. You are comparing our performances against other teams performances against the same teams, and because we haven’t done as well the makes us somewhat inferior, different games different times. If you are going to judge all our games on this basis then that is frankly childish and ridiculous football isn’t like that. Yes we were poor the first half I think that was pretty much unanimously agreed, but we were far better the second half, and that has fuck all to do with how Southampton played against them. Yes it’s about opinions and you’re entitled to your opinion, but don’t get upset with every opinion that doesn’t agree with you, remember others are entitled to there’s. And mine is poor first half good second, and yours is poor completely, but what that’s got to do with you being a 47 year old builder who goes jogging with his son, I do not know you nutter
  15. If you have ever managed you will no you have to sort the defence out before the rest of the positions, and that’s what we are seeing.
  16. I’m going for Iwobi he has sacrificed his preferred game for the manager, especially against Liverpool and the first half against Norwich. But in the second half when the changes were made he was allowed to get forward more and come infield more which obviously suits him more than being rigidly stuck on the wing with defending as his prime focus, give him a bit of freedom and he’s proved he can perform and hurt teams, great second half.
