You fuck off.  My agenda is Everton football club.... you wanna get all  sentimental over a manager who never really gave a shit about us then fair enough...  whilst you are at it Rom never gave a shit about us. Which is why I dislike both....

If koeman wanted to say "I feel this is unfair and I'm pissed off that we never got giroud"  - he wouldn't have got his severence.

  2. All this talk of Rafa today has got me thinking. We actually need a manager with those credentials, whilst he may not be suitable, he is the type of manager we need to be looking at imo. We are about to lose our current manager to arguably the biggest team in world football. He has been hand picked because of his qualities and the level he has got Everton FC playing at now. We need to replace a top manager with a top manager, out of the current list linked at the moment i don't really see anyone the more i look. I really think if we have to sacrifice some transfer funds to get the right man then so be it, If we get the right man then he could be here for a while like Moyes, so im not arsed if it costs us, it will be worth it in the long run. A top manager would be able to keep Baines and Fellaini and attract others. Im wondering if we should be looking abroad for a manager, i just don't see any standouts in this country.

    I'll quote myself again:

I know i'm repeating myself a lot here about Benitez but, blue glasses off, YES! Forget that he managed liverpool, forget that we all hate him for calling Everton a small club, forget his smug little face....Look at his credentials:

La Liga (twice), Uefa cup, Champions league, Uefa super cup, Fa Cup, supercoppa italiana, FIFA world club cup.

Everton are at a juncture where they are no longer looking to stay afloat, they are looking to move forward into the top 4/5 of the premier league and into Europe (hopefully with some rich dude coming in to give us the financial clout that's really needed). We need a manager with these sorts of credentials who knows how to win things. Out of the managers available, he is my choice - in spite of the Liverpool connections.

We need to be looking up...a top manager who has won things and can bring together a talented team. Not Martinez, not Laudrup, not Poyet - they have NPower Championship written all over them. <edit> OK, that's a bit harsh...what i mean is they are not experienced enough! </edit>

I think we're all still thinking that we're the same club that we were in 2001. We're not, we're the 6th best team in the country this year!

    + a 2nd UEFA cup now. wink.png

  4. Blue glasses off... Would Benitez do?

  5. why aren't these people banned? shaking%20fist.png

Heh - I'm not trolling, I'm deadly serious. Everton needs a manager with more experience and better credentials than Moyes. Yes, Martinez, Lennon, Mackay, Laudrup are all good managers with similarities to Moyes .... but is that what we want? Or do we want to push to move forward? Benitez, although I really hate him (!), has these credentials in my opinion.

  6. Unfortunately the reality is that our club stature and finances are such that any name can be tossed up and it wouldn't be that unreasonable, fan sentiment or not.

    How about Rafa Benitez?

I hate him - of course, we all do - but he's a very good manager, is available at the end of the season and a much better target than some of the other names touted (Stubbs...really?!).

My opinion is that it's time we should be looking up, not down.

  7. Yeah, I got an email from those guys the other day. They must have been trying to get to Kenwright or something. Anyway, somehow it ended up in my email. Looks like they gave up and went for Newcastle instead. Oh well.

    Attention: The Chairman/CEO

    Dear Sir,

    Confidential Business Proposal

Having consulted with my colleagues and based on the information gathered from the Nigerian Chambers Of Commerce And Industry, I have the privilege to request your assistance to transfer the sum of $47,500,000.00 (forty seven million, five hundred thousand United States dollars) into your accounts. The above sum resulted from an over-invoiced contract, executed, commissioned and paid for about five years (5) ago by a contractor by the name of Abdulrasaq Yakubu Aiyegbeni. This action was however intentional and since then the fund has been in a suspense account at The Central Bank Of Nigeria Apex Bank.

We are now ready to transfer the fund overseas and that is where you come in. It is important to inform you that as civil servants, we are forbidden to operate a foreign account; that is why we require your assistance.

The transfer is risk free on both sides. I am an accountant with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). If you find this proposal acceptable, we shall require the following documents:

( a ) your banker's name, telephone, account and fax numbers.

( b ) your private telephone and fax numbers —for confidentiality and easy communication.

    ( c ) your letter-headed paper stamped and signed.

Alternatively we will furnish you with the text of what to type into your letter-headed paper, along with a breakdown explaining, comprehensively what we require of you. The business will take us thirty (30) working days to accomplish.

    Please reply urgently.

    Best regards
