but healy hasnt proved himself in the premiership either, so why would you take him instead of nugent ? if you look at their strike rates, nugent has scored alot more goals than healy has (including healy's spell at preston) i dont see nugent being a gamble, spesh if he spends more time around england players in their training camps

i dont understand why people think david nugent is a huge risk to be honest excellent strike rate in the championship and has all the atributes to step up, just like AJ did when he played for palace sometimes you have to gamble just like various clubs did with ashton bent etc even lescott was a gamble and looked how that has played out i say get nugent for 5mill, baines and then one of either barton or fernandes and we will be sorted

id be happy to have Darren Bent at this club. strong,quick,good in the air and a good premiership strike rate. the problem with going for a player like nugent is that he is too similar to AJ. both like balls over the top, both like running down the channels and both use their pace to cause havoc. we need a different option up front, someone who is strong and can win headers and hold the ball up etc (thats why vaughan/vic and AJ work so well) Nugent would be a great signing but im not sure his style would work with AJ

can you give me a list of the crap players moyes has bought ? you cant really count per k as a crap transfer. he never really got given a chance and was almost constantly injured at the start of his career and was sent packing in jan 06. any player needs more than six months to adjust to the english game, spesh centre backs and centre forwards. are you telling me that drogba was amazing in his first season ? or henry ? even zola took a while to get going moyes has done a very good job in the transfer market imo
