  3. I could mention cheesecake and apple crumble but that would be irrelevant as well. Nobody is saying Martinez hasn't made any good signings. What I'm saying is that there have been some poor ones as well, just like any other manager I have absolutely no idea how much money Traore is on but whatever it is it's been a wasted wage seeing as though he has only played 70 minutes I'm not blaming Roberto for any player getting injured whilst playing for Everton I'm just questioning the wisdom of signing an injured player at that stage of the season. Especially one that has never played in the Prem and so would likely need time to bed in anyway
  4. Alcaraz has looked decent when he has played but he is never fit. His injury record was poor at Wigan so it's not exactly come as a surpriseTraore, ignoring the fact he looked woeful in his small cameo, was also injured when we brought him in and has hardly liked a ball for us. I couldn't understand the point on signing an injured player at that point in the season and I am totally bewildered as to why we didn't send him straight back as soon as he got injured again Kone I have just never really rated, think he is ok but that's about it and to pay £6m for him at his age was too much They may have only cost £6-8m to sign but add the wages on top of that and think how many games they've played and suddenly they start to look quite expensive
  5. When did I make a point that we had 16 year olds at the club who cant control a football?
  6. Hmm not too sure about that to be honest ( Kone, Alcaraz, Robles and Traore haven't exactly been huge success stories )
  7. Lol if none of our academy players are improving their touch, control or co-ordination from the age of 16 then I think all of our youth coaches need to be sacked immediately!

  9. Sorry I just can't get my head around how anybody could think he has reached his potential or even come close to it a week after his 21st birthday I know I'm showing my age now but I think back to Graham Sharp at the same age and he didn't look like he had half the potential Lukaku does and he didn't turn out too badly As Sharpie got older he got wiser and he learnt how to look after himself and started to bully defenders. His positional play got better and his reading of the game got better
  10. I would say Lescott is far more comfortable on the ball than either of our first choice CB's however i do agree that we should be looking to the future. I think we are strong enough at CB anyway and we have other areas that are in more need of strengthening . We are desperate for a CF because Naismith and Kone are just not good enough to get us challenging off the top 4 Now Gerry has gone we could probably do with another winger. The longer it goes on with no news the more I think Barry is going elsewhere so we need to bring in a quality CB If Hibbert leaves you can also add a RB to the list

  12. From todays BBC Gossip page, apparently the Scum is reporting Everton and Hull are targeting QPR striker Charlie Austin, 24, who has scored 17 goals in the Championship this season
  13. Wouldn't be too disappointed if that's the case
  14. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27497370 He has left Villa

  17. Would rather see the likes of Kennedy given a go before signing the likes of Albrighton. Doesn't bode well if he couldn't get into Villas side
  18. Much better than some of the dross we have been getting linked with
