  1. I voted yes, so Im quite happy with the result. but even if it had gone the other way I would still love everton and have got on with it. i would have kept my season ticket and kept going no matter what because at the end of the day its Everton Football Club that I support noyt BK or KW or any other individual
  2. I agree pretty much everything everyones said on this one except I think the critisism of Hibbo is a bit harsh, his distribution is pretty poor but I think apart from that hes a sound defender that we really missed last year. I know Stubbsy is coming to the end but I just think our back for looks better as a unit when he is in it so I wouldnt be too bothered if he starts but my prefered back 4 would be Hibbo Joey Lescott Baines Like Jags but dont really see a place in the starting 11 for him at the moment , think he will be used more like Alan Harper/ Kevin Richardson used to be
  3. I would love him back , still hate the fact he walked out on us so early but if your being honest and dont think you can really blame the lad.
  4. Of the Everton forwards Ive had the displeasure to see Brett Angel wins all hands down. Couple of other crap ones were Mickey Walsh and David Johnson oh and Stuart Barlow was pretty poo as well!
  5. Just seen this in tonights Echo :- The Blues are trying to take their spending for the week past £20m, by arranging a contract for Manuel Fernandes which is mutually agreeable to themselves and the Premier League. Fernandes’ contract was co-owned by Benfica and a group of investment bankers called Global Sports Agency, but the Premier League is desperate to avoid any repeat of the Carlos Tevez/Javier Mascherano affair which marred the end of last season. League rules allow the outside ownership of players provided that the third party does not have the “ability materially to influence” club policies or performance. The League’s chief executive Richard Scudamore, however, has moved to tighten the rules following the unseemly saga over Tevez’s transfer to West Ham. Clubs are now required to ensure that all documentation relating to the registration and employment of a player is submitted in advance of each transfer. Bit confused , I thought we were meant to be buying him outright. Can anyone shed any light on it?
  6. You will never guess what ..... we actually agree on something!! The loan is initialy for 1 month
  7. Just read a brilliant quote that sums up the answer to your question “Some games he’s like Thierry Henry, some games he’s like Lenny Henry” http://www.caughtoffside.com/2007/08/23/Everton...he-st/2716.html
  8. I agree with what you are saying , I would much rather stay within the city but where is the money going to come from? In an ideal world we would already be preparing for life in the Kings Dock but we simply couldnt afford it. I just worry that if we pass up this opportunity then we might just miss the boat. We cant hang around forever waiting for a multimillionaire to appear over the horizon willing to throw £150 - £200M at a new ground before he even looks at the playing side. I just think that if we already have a new stadium and new training facilities in place it makes us a far better proposition for any potential investors. To be honest judging by the majority of the votes in forums Ive seen it looks like it is going to be a no vote anyway
  9. The Guardian are getting in on the debate about his fee now http://football.guardian.co.uk/poll/0,,2154123,00.html
  10. Its definitely not any kind of excuse/smoke screen because it was the England doc who treated him then sent him back to everton, so everton had nothing to do with it. Doenst sound too serious though
  11. lol Wish I had spotted your username when I asked you if you remember the Johnson era!!
  12. in your honest opinion will BK be at the helm leading us into Kirkby or will he sell up the minute his share price rises? So thats not intimating that hes only in it for the money then? Sorry If my reply was overly aggressive just fed up with all the flak BK and KW are getting when its clear that they are moving the club in the right direction
  13. What a load of bollox!!!! Like him or loathe him I think it is completely ludicrous to suggets that he doesnt care about Everton and is just in it for the money. Have a word with yourself Even if he did sell up would that not mean more investment in the club ? And who do you want in charge of the club , some Yank into soccer who doesnt know his corners from his throw ins? Do you think that they will have more feelings for the club and not be interested in the money? I hate short sighted people with short memories, can you honestly say the club has not moved forward since the Johnson era?
  14. According to this mornings Daily Post he agreed terms last night and as he is the only fit forward at the club looks inline to start on Saturday RECORD signing Aiyegbeni Yakubu is set to come to Everton’s rescue this weekend after agreeing his move to Goodison Park last night. Think we still need another forward because hes away with Big Vic & joey for 6 weeks after Christmas and he hasnt scored in either of the last two seasons after Feb anyway! (£11.25M hope we dont live to regret this one)
  15. Yes . I was merely pointing out that just because he will have better players around him doesnt mean that he is going to be a better player. His talent isnt whats being questioned its his work rate and attitude, if he mopes around the pitch for us like he has done for Pompey and Borro then I think we have paid way too much money for him
  16. Lol Yeah and one that havent managed a goal between them since March!!! Hope thats not a sign of things to come!! Suupose I will be happy if we get him cos we are extremely desperate and he will definately improve the squad but do think he is massively overpriced. But if he bangs in a hatrick for us on Saturday I might review my opinion!
  17. True and I am equally glad we didnt waste our money on either of those two at that price If we are going to throw money away I would rather spend an extra £500 000 on Obefami martins from Newcastle
  18. If you can coax him into running then maybe but his normal pace is slow or still Quote from todays Express Player power is set to push Yakubu out of Middlesborough after senior pros told Gareth Southgate the Nigerian striker was no longer pulling his weight. Yakubu delivered a woeful display against Wigan last Wednesday and after the match several players accused the Boro forward of no trying. Oh and he hasnt scored since early Feb. My arse is he worth £12.5M!!!!
  19. Fair enough but surely you dont think that he is in the same class as Drogba and Ruud Van??
  20. Looks like the desperate search for a forward just got worse. Its just been on SSN that AJ is out of tomorrows game because he has fluid on his knee. No idea if that makes him a doubt for Saturday or not but looks like we dont have any fully fit forwards now!
  21. Just been on Sky Sports News that the red sh**e cant buy Heinze. Happy with that cos I think he is a class player
  22. Well he is probably about as fast as Super Kev! He has got a brown BMW V3, saw it on SSN the other day
