The thing is change in style usual comes with new personel. If we had the money to buy these world class players then I'd imagine we would. Moyes has spent years getting the best out of what he's got - in the early days he at least had enough to freshen things up and move us on. With no investment in the squad for the past 3 years things have gone stale and Moyes hasn't been able to get in those bodies to progress us further.

He's clearly not though and would walk into our team.

..but the comments were regarding the quality in each squad and £120m doesn't win you games. Over a period of time e.g. a season, class will shine through... money buys class! Of course there are occassions where other things affect the outcome - however good any player is they are all human (even Messi). If Moyes spent £120m I'd expect Champions League no ifs, no buts. He hasn't!

I hate Liverpoo but they currently have a better team/squad than us and a lot of that is to do with money. Money buys quality if spent correctly.

True. But we're not going to get every quality youngster and equally we're linked to most as are many others... I remember the Shite almost signing wonderkid Dean Bowdich! I do remember Bent already being a very good striker and not much of a gamble when Charlton signed him, we couldn't muster the money but we did sign M.Bent and Cahill that summer and didn't do bad that season either!

Without knowing much about this guy or holtby they would be 2 players I'd love at our club - they've both got little stories about why they are Evertonians and little things like that make a signing more special, that and the fact that both lads seem to possess true quality. In saying this I want a 1st team striker first and foremost.
