Moyes is being clever... he will pay £11m for yakubu - boro want a bit more, so out comes the vagner love link, i'm sure this link is only a link for boro's benefit. Moyes showing interest elsewhere will worry boro - as they've already laid the foundations for yakubu to leave - leaving him out, chasing other strikers, signing mido, aliadiere, tuncay and whoever else. I may be wrong but this is how i see it - i'd expect him to sign for £11m (plus future incentives e.g top 4 finish). Whatever happens I am happy that moyes can see what we need - a big fucker up top! Yakubu and Love are beasts of men - exactly what we need to partner johnson up top - we've got vaughan, who's a bit like AJ and we've got big vic who is a beast but still young so if we can get a more experienced victor type player, that'd be perfect - drogba, martins, adriano type player - athlete's who are a fucker to deal with! - love and yakubu are of this mould in my eyes! One last point - if we did get this vagner love - what ridiculous hair EFC would have - pienaar, fernandes, love - there's a lot of hair care there!

Da Silva was dire last night minus the goal - his passes were way off the mark, he almsost cost us another goal when he gave the ball up on the right - think his last pass too was just a long ball to no-one. His tackling looked dangerous - funny to watch in a friendly but not when he's sent off in a competitive match and we're down to ten men. I'd be suprised if he makes 10 first-team appearances in his everton career... but i'd love to be wrong (meaning he turns out good!)

I would be sad to see lee go but if this is the deal it sounds fair enough. If we can get this vogel in, he sounds like a replacement to cars but with a more glamourous pedigree (a.c.milan or derby!) Hopefully this deal will be off-set directly against what we get for beattie, so hopefully they'll still be a few more million around for maybe smith or other players to strengthen us more.

You're deffinately right with Pienaar but Ruddy isn't meant to be on the tour... I think it is him but it looks too much like eidur gudjohnson...

Is that John Ruddy walking by Howard or has Eidur Gudjohnson decided to come on tour with us... he looks a dead-ringer - so much so that I'm not entirely certain, nor is my mate I've just rang at work! It looks even more like eidur on the 5th photo on the OS - have a look! Is is ruddy or is it not even him??? - as Ruddys not even meant to be on the tour...

Don't know where to put this with the nugent topic closed - but many people have said that the fee was £6m up-front raising to £7m but if you're to believe sky sports news on the signings in/out pages, it says £4.5million. If we sign smith this doesn't bother me, but if we don't, £4.5m wouldn't have been such a gamble especially if we can off-load beattie for around that figure.

Has he joined up with the rest of the squad yet or are we waiting on this?
