  1. I haven't had chance to see the lad play yet, all I know about him is what's been said on here but after noticing this: http://www.skysports.com/football/transfer...5,15198,00.html I get the impression he's got some talent, just wondering what everyone elses opinions are, will he come good? and also if he does given the current financial situation will we end up selling him?
  2. Another load of bollocks from once-a-blue!!!! To get to the last 16 we had to play 8 games some of which were against decent teams not just against teams noone's ever heard of!! Yes I accept the standard is lower than in the Champion's league but how can they justify the winners Zenit earning $7.7m when Dynamo Kiev lost all 6 of their CL group games receiving $9m. Basically £400'000 in football these days isn't a lot and when the scum over the park get 50 times as much for reaching the last 8 of albeit a better competition then something needs sorting as it's only gonna get worse!! I guess the easy way is for us to kick the red shite out and finish 4th ourselves
  3. How do you know this???? Before the euros started I didn't see any reason why we couldn't get him (apart from the usual wage problem) but now it would be an absolutely massive coup for us to get him. Would rather he went to Spain then end up lining up against us next season but I guess that will come clear at some point. I've been telling everyone I know how good he is for months and almost noone had heard of him, one things for sure, they have now!!!!
  4. Well we will have to wait and see, I personally think he's past his best and too old to adapt his south american style to the premiership but then I could easily be wrong!
  5. FFS!! this only leaves me with 2 questions, 1) Why the fuck couldn't Moyes etc.... see that this was one of our best options this summer and 2) Why the fuck would he want to go to that pile of shit, I know he apparently wants to play in the premiership but if it was a choice between playing (not in Europe) with the Geordie scum and staying at Zenit and getting Champs League football I know which 1 I would pick!!!
  6. Sunderland away 3-0 to us Yak-trick!
  7. Yeah but just cos they won the FA cup this year, that hardly means that they're gonna go on and win even more next season in fact its unlikely they'll win anything as normal. I agree though I'd be happy with us signing him but couldn't care that much either way. But please lets find out either way soon it's getting boring!! Love the Everton summer fun eh???
  8. I agree, he's 29 now and even though he was a decent enough player in the past, it's hardly like he set the premiership alight is it??
  9. It's probably a little bit optimistic considering past years but I reckon 29mil
  10. Yep, that pretty much sums it up for me too would have no complaints after recent performances but hopefully for less than 10 million
  11. Has anyone got BK or DM's phone number??????????? Cos I've seen this story everywhere over the last couple of days and I just wanna tell em to get a grip and sign the boy up, sure he may not have been our player of the season so far, but he's up there! Showing some of the reasons why he was regarded so highly as a youngster at Ajax, and at that price who the fuck are we gonna get with even half the ability as he's got. If we don't snap him up that would put a real downer for me on what has been such a good season! FFS GET IT SORTED!!!!!!!
  12. Then let me be the second twit!!!!!!! I thought the times was an intellectual paper not just full of rs bias crap like this
  13. Now I know this has been mentioned many times before on this forum so I'll try not to go on too much, however the media bias towards not only the so called 'big 4' but also towards lesser teams is really starting to piss me off. As I'm sure most people here have noticed MOTD only ever put us remotely near the start of the program if play the mancs or on the odd occasion when we put 7 past someone , I've come to accept that this is the way things are but 2 things recently have made me have to write this. 1) When we were playing the CC semi-final 1st leg there was only a highlight show on the following night which lasted 55 mins of which 40 were of the arsenal-spurs game and a measly 5 minutes put by for our game (something which really pissed me off as I hadn't been able to watch the game on the night as I had to work). Then surprise surprise for the 2nd leg there was a highlights program dedicated to each game. Even this though was on at the ridiculous time of midnight, ideal when youve got work at 6 the next morning! 2) I usually read the Sun newspaper, granted it isn't the best paper for sport but there's usually a reasonable football section so it does the job. While reading yesterday's Sun of all the previews for the UEFA cup games involving English teams, Everton got a single column mostly taken up by a story irrelevant to the match whereas Notlob and Spurs got pretty much a whole page, once again this wasn't a massive concern as the game later on was far more important. However in today's paper it was pretty much the same again with our game in which we scored 6 goals against what looked like half decent opposition getting a paltry write up almost as an afterthought! Now I do accept the athletico madrid getting knocked out by an underperforming Notlob is impressive, I don't see how Spurs almost fucking up against a pretty dire slavia prague is a better story!! Sorry for the rant I just needed to get it out, does anyone think this will change in the near future or are we stuck in a mainly London biased media world??
  14. Hi all this is my 1st post so hello to all you regulars. I too am the most positive about the everton squad than I have been in years. I do however have concerns about the hectic month coming up: 2 Uefa cup games, a carling Q/Final and 6 premiership games against mostly tough oppostion (Fulham being probably the safest bet of the month). I am confident that we can do enough to be in a decent position by January to be ok but I feel if we get injuries in the wrong places i.e. non-strikers we may start to suffer with the games coming so thick and fast. How does everyone else feel about a tough December?
