To be honest I'd say despite our unusually good start to the season this season we're a lot sloppier at the back than in previous seasons, looking much more wasteful in attack as well but then thats partly cos we're creating a lot more chances and attacking quite a bit more than I'm used to seeing us do

I dunno why but despite him playing at right back so far I keep reading he's being tipped for being a top centre back in the future, guess someone's seen something in him to suggest this although no idea what that could be and having never seen him play I definitely cant

Does anyone know anything about him? seen him play? All I've heard is he's a hot prospect but how many times do we hear that? I make it we've played at least 4 players at right back already this season, admittedly with the injuries to Coleman and Hibbert and one of the options being Neville, maybe getting some young lad in as cover but more one for the future isnt the worst idea. I'd have thought there's positions that needed investing in a lot more though.

In theory this should be a comfortable win against a Villa team in shocking form but as it's us and knowing previous times when we've surprisingly struggled against them I'm gonna go for 2-1 possibly 3-1 win as despite the couple of goalless games recently I'm still expecting us to concede every time we play. I'd love us to win by 4 or 5 which the formbook would maybe say we should but think the 3 pts is the most important thing right now to keep our great position in table

Gotta say I know very little about this lad apart from him being linked with some PL club in the past (probably Arsenal as already mentioned) I looked up about him online apparently got 25 goals in 141 eredivisie games so better than 1 in 6 sounds decent enough to me, also got 23 yellow cards though just wondering if someone who's seen him play knows if he gives away a lot of stupid fouls or stuff like that?

Gotta be Fellaini to go for me for lots of reasons, 1) We'd get more money for him 2) Baines is closer to being the best in the world in his position than Felli is 3) Baines brings more to the table for example free kicks and penalties, I know others could do this but if it aint broke! 4) Baines is more consistent in his performances and rarely doesnt put a good shift in 5) Felli much more likely to lose his head and get needless yellow and red cards or even incidents like at Stoke therefore more likely to cost us points Personally I hope we don't have to sell either but for the money we'd get for Felli (reportedly around £25m) surely we could get someone who can have as of an effect on games whereas I think we'd seriously struggle to find a replacement for Baines that isnt already playing for a top club who can offer more than we can! Easy decision for me anyway! Oh and I can understand people mentioning Oviedo he definitely looks a great prospect to me too but til hes been given a run of games at left back he's unproven as a replacement for Baines, from what I've seen the majority of his game time has been spent on the wing.

Thats definitely the team, pretty much full strength which I wasn't quite expecting but happy to see. Says that we're taking it seriously wish we'd done the same thing against Leeds!

Does anyone know of any way I could tickets for this game? I very rarely get to games but only 20 miles away whichever team we have to play, or is my only possible solution to try and get tickets for the home areas?

I wish you'd keep repeating the time since we've won a trophy! For a start Moyes had nothing to do with 7 of those years so they don't come into it, Apart from that since he's been here the number of different teams who've won the 3 domestic trophies is not very high and apart from Birmingham and Middlesborough have been other so called 'big teams' who have spent considerably more money on their squads than he has had the chance to spend. As for getting knocked out of cups by teams from lower divisions it happens to everyone, it may have happened to us a bit more than most but don't think its completely down to Moyes Of course i'd like to see us win a trophy as I'm sure we all would, but I don't see that as the only way there's an end product come the end of the season. I think the clearly improving squad of the last 12 months as just as good a product!

On a side note does anyone know how the "market - pool" section works on here? Its crazy that United finished 3rd in their group and got over 25 mil (euros) when benfica who won the group got 2.7 mil!!

Wednesday are in the championship now, I definitely think the standards high enough that this loan will help him fully prepare for the Prem. Really think we should be aiming for him to spend the whole season there too as he's getting plenty of games, worked for plenty of other clubs before

100% agree with this I've had my doubts bout him last couple of years, I know it's only 1st game of the season but here's hoping he's gonna become the player I thought he could be

Happiest I've been watching us play for a long while!! Not sure on actual stats but think Felli had almost as many chances as Rooney, Welbeck and Van Persie combined and never would I have dreamed that would happen. Not that it surprised me for him to have such a clear man of the match game, but it still exceeded any optimistic thought I had! What did surprise me is people I know and talk to in the pub about football (unfortunately fans of other clubs) still seemed surprised that he had such a good game still don't get it!! Well great result but gotta keep it going at Villa next weekend and beyond to really make this a great start to the season COYB!!
