Gotta say this is the most pissed off I've been on transfer deadline day, can cope with Mikel going in a way as he's hardly on form but with the money probably paying off debt and if not no time to spend the money. Add that to the probable loss of 2 strikers and it shows how fucked we are!!!!!! I'm usually pretty positive about things but it's getting worse every season so imagine next summer!!!! Anymore of this and relegation is a very serious prospect imo!!!!

Totally agree with this, my sister's a journalist but I don't call picking random players names and teams out of a hat and making a story out of it journalism!!!

What puzzles me is why pretty much all of us seem to think he's an average player at best whereas since this story broke I've been asked about my loads of people who are fans of other clubs and they all seem to have the same inflated opinion of his abilities as he does and I've had to tell them 'it's no loss he's nothing special'. Surely it can't just be a couple of high profile goals that's led to it, I guess we've watched him play more and can see he's not that great, I'm sure he'll fit in well with the 50'000 equally deluded fans every home game!!!

Just saw that myself, looks like it's gonna be happening then. I've been in denial about this since Leeds got promotion hoping that he might stay with them but just gotta look at the positives now at least it won't involve a transfer fee eh?

I still can't see much appeal in this signing apart from zero transfer fee, from watching a few leeds games this season I just don't see him doing enough which isn't so bad when he's scoring for fun (in the 3rd tier!!) but recently he's made the Yak look like Usain Bolt and completely dropped off with the scoring. I'd have thought being dropped to the bench and brought on 2nd half for a few games would have made him want to prove himself but nothing seems to have changed. That being said since beating United the whole Leeds team have gone seriously off the boil so this surely hasn't helped his case, so I guess as a 3rd/4th choice striker to come off the bench and maybe nick a few goals a season and if his wages are low he might be worth the risk, however much I don't wanna see him wearing royal blue I'd be happy to be proved wrong.

Surely the CAF is just the equivalent of UEFA and I can't even imagine the useless Platini coming out and saying something like this. As has already been said I think there's ulterior motives involved. Still shouldn't be criticising by name players of a member country though and what't it got to do with the 'Media Officer' anyway?

Surely though this says the transfer window may not exceed 12 weeks so therefore as it closes at the end of August then May 10th is far too early to be within that window, so still none the wiser I'm just surprises how hard I've found it to find anything more out about the situation as noone seems to be questioning it elsewhere. Firstly I'd like to make 2 apologies in advance, 1) sorry if this is the wrong place for this and 2) sorry if I'm being stupid With the news that the RS have agreed terms to sign Jonjo Shelvey from Charlton I'm a bit confused partly as to why he'd want to go to those tossers (probably offered him silly money) but mainly how come they are managing to sign him on May 10th cos as far as I knew the transfer window opens at the start of June and certainly after the end of the season. As far as I'm aware he's got a contract for longer than that so I was wondering if anyone could tell me how this is possible??? Also if anyone can explain to me why Charlton are willing to lose a player prior to the play-offs they seem likely to be involved in then all the better!!! Once again sorry if it's just me missing something

Well put...... if the rumours turn out to be true and Beckford's coming our way I'd much rather have Boyd, sure I'm not massively keen on the idea but he contributes more to the all round game and would be certainly the lesser of these two evils well IMO anyway!

Having talked to mates of mine who support a variety of clubs almost all of them (apart from mainly mancs and red shites) have often told me they'd love to have Moyes as their manager, in fact one of the most ardent Spurs fans regularly tells me that he thinks Redknapp's taken them as far as they can go and that he'd love Davey at WHL so it certainly seems nationwide that Milky is in small minority of people who think this is the best we can get with him in charge, CRAZY!!!!

hardly a luxury when we were heavily in debt at the time! It would have been fine if we could have sold rooney and spent the money on players but as far as I'm aware it pretty much all went on clearing debts. Also we didn't get 30mil straight as far as I'm aware we got it over several payments plus some of the fee was based on appearances etc. so that only came in dribs and drabs
