  1. I have never been his biggest fan but he has played well lately and has been quite solid i wouldn't say he's a reliable right back as he's proven in the past he's prone to making silly errors. He puts in a good shift and always seems to try which is great i just hope he can keep up his current form.
  2. Ah never heard that mate if so then yeah i suppose the point stands.
  3. How can you question his loyalty? He left Chelsea due to not getting in the starting line up so he went to Arsenal expecting first team action which was not the case, He played 20 first team games for both clubs in 3 years i'd want to jump ship and go elsewhere if i was in the same boat. Portsmouth is a different story he's a player with no disrespect to Portsmouth that was to good for them at this moment in time and they would have struggled to keep hold of him and its Real Madrid i think any player from a team that could be in a potential relegation battle would do the same if Madrid came knocking.
  4. As much as i hate Benitez he does hit the nail on the head on most points. He pretty much covered alot of things that i had though of in the past when Furguson whines about fixture times and congestion then ships his team of to Asia for a piss pot trophy for an extra few quid. In terms of mindgames they can play them all they want with eachother as long as the two dont win the league it doesnt really bother me. Im sure the only winner in the debate will be Chelsea in the long run as this just adds abit of pressure to both teams.
  5. Have to agree that Lassana Diarra was probebly one of the most consitant midfielders in the league last season. He will do well at Madrid and could walk into most teams one player who if we had the cash i would have loved to have seen here. He has been compared to Makelele and is very much on track to be as good a player as his countryman if not better.

    Hull

Should be a good game as we are in good form and Hull's form has dropped abit of late im going for a 3-1 Lescott Cahill Arteta Geovanni - freekick 25 yards :stun:
  7. Sorry not Sampdoria it was Rosenborg im getting confused in my grand old age of 23 hello btw Burn
  8. Its a fee of around £300.000 to £400.000 in our money that we have bid supposedly but they are apparently holding out for £1mil which is £10mil in their currency. Sampdoria made a bid for the lad last year or at the start of this season cant remember which but they got knocked back with a bid of around £300.000 i believe.
  9. Cheers lads it will be my second time abroad you see so abit nervous about what to expect i've read reviews of various other hotels we where going to go with but went with the one above as its relatively new. Anyone want any tobacco or other cheap goods
  10. In terms of self-defence Gerrard and others accused will not be able to play that card lightly by most accounts of what happend is that Gerrard and his friends started kicking off because the DJ wouldn't play the songs they wanted. So the provocation started by thier means coupled with the fact they where all intoxicated and the Dj was not and using force within a group doesnt bode well in court. So in terms of self defence there are no reports what so ever that the DJ made the first move or even landed a single blow on any of Gerrards party of tosser's. Like Bill has already said he will get off with it guilty or not he will walk with a slap on the wrist or a kiss on the arse. "A person may use such force as is reasonable in the circumstances in the prevention of crime, or in effecting or assisting in the lawful arrest of offenders or suspected offenders or of persons unlawfully at large."
  11. Alright chaps i've just booked a week All In to Egypt for the 22nd of June with Thomas Cook to this hotel http://www.hotels4u.com/El-Hayat-Sharm-Res...hotel/9067.aspx. I just wanted to know if any of you have travelled there before and any insight of what to expect of Egypt would be great. Oh and has anyone ever travelled with Thomas Cook as i've only ever been abroad once before and that was with Thompson if so are they ok to go with? Cheers
  12. Although the league's in that region are far from those of our own im sure there are very good players to be had. As much as i would love us to sign a striker that could bag us goals from the outset but with the money situation we are in we wont be signing any recognized Strikers that could do so in saying that there is no reason why this chap couldn't. I would rather gamble £340-60.000 on him for six months then take a risk on say Love for x-amount of millions.
  13. Never heard of him either to be honest mate but from what i have read he seems to be highly regarded though.
  14. I've just been reading about this quite a few sites reporting that the deal is done for £360.000 for a six months loan. This is a quote from a Venezuelan fella from another football forum. Hello there Evertonians. I am from Venezuela, and an avid follower of our players abroad. Some information on Gian: -He's our national team's top scorer with 16 goals in some 39-40 games. -He received the Golden Boot of the Americas in 2007 after socring 28 goals with Chilean O'Higgins and Mexican Atlante, surpassing many continental figures. Runner up was Boca Juniors' Martín Palermo, with 26 goals. He was the world's 3º best First Division goalscorer that year, only behind Cristiano Ronaldo and, I think, Huntelaar. -He has around 30 goals with Atlante in some 50 games or such. -In his first short tournament in México (they have two champions a year, one in December and one in July) he scored around 18 goals in 17 league games plus 3-4 playoff matches. Atlante were champions of México and he was their top scorer. League's top scorer was argentinean Alfredo Moreno with 2-4 more goals, with 7 scored from PKs; Maldonado didn't take any PKs in the tournament. -He was 2008's 6º global First Division goalscorer. -Atlante had set his price on 10.000.000 US$ after capturing interest from Spain's Deportivo La Coruña and some undisclosed Russian team. México's Club América and Pachuca were ready to offer some 4mill-6mill for him, but negotiations didn't prosper. Assuming he mantains his highest level, Everton would be getting quite a bargain, I think. You can find plenty of his videos in the web. I do hope he ends up in your club, you'd be getting a world class striker plus a couple thousand souls rooting for you from across the Atlantic. Pd. 500.000 US$ isn't really that much money in México, but for a short loan it's OK.
  15. I've heard off a few city fans at work and also had a look around the net and it seems as though he is injury free, Supposedly he is injury free and has been having a few psychological problems due to being injured and losing his place to Ireland also the departure of Sven had a big impact on him so he's apparently always on the piss. Dont know how much truth if any is in it but maybe if it is Moyes might see him self as the man to sort him out?
  16. I really like Johnson and would love to see him here he has bags of potential. I think this one could happen if we could stump up the money as i dont think he will get many games at City if Hughes spends the kind of money he's expected to. As said if he could shake of his injury problems he could be a very big player in the next five years many earmarked him as Gerrards future replacement for England.
  17. If fees for other Championship players are anything to go by Blake would set us back a good 5 to 6mil to say the least
  18. You cant help but wonder what perception foreign players have of the Premier League and its clubs to have views like those. Although Villa are a good side and a decent sized club there no better or bigger then ourselves they may have better backing in the boardroom but thats where it ends. I like it when players show their mentality and opinions as Jovanovic has as it shows you that the bloke is a clueless twit who's attitude would not fit in here. His Wiki says he would prefer a move to the SPL with Rangers which is all well and good as they have a large fan base and are a big Scotish club but it has to be one of the worst league's if not the in European football.
  19. Ah bollocks oh well lets hope we beat them in the league and knock them out of the cup
  20. For £350k i would definitely take Lita if you consider what you can or lets put it cant buy for that kind of money. I've just read his wiki and it seems he's had a few problems with injuries and discipline in the past hence why he's been past around abit. He's still young and doesnt have the worst record in the world and can score goals this could if true be a good move for both parties considering the cost. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leroy_Lita
  21. Do you have an access code mate?
  22. I hope the lad does well but for that kind of money as i've said im happy we are not involved he will have to shine pretty quickly to justify that price tag for a club such as Stoke who dont have big money.
  23. Give the lad a break its his own judgement on the game nothing more its unfair to say he's showing his age and he is naive, like most have said on here i think we can beat Arsenal so surely a win as Dark predicts can be acheived against Macclesfield i mean no disrespect to Macclesfield and hope they do give us a good game but i think its pretty unfair on Dark how people have jumped on his comments. I know cup games can throw up all kinds of suprises and upsets but i do predict on current form a comfortable win we are playing very good football at present and with Macclesfield having conceded 17 goals in their last 7 games the odds look stacked against them, I think we will win the game 3-1. All the best to Macclesfield and their lads on here.
