I agree how sterling and Suarez stayed on the pitch is beyond me refs have been poor for us all season yet we have lost one and are 5th. If we had the points we should have we would be challenging.

Came on to rant but you boys have pretty much covered it. My main points are: 1. Suarez dirty player should have been booked for both challenges. Should have been off. 2. Neville went down easily with contact if that's suarez does he get booked. No would be my guess. 3. Shite 3rd goal foul on jags and not a free kick. 4. Tackle on baines is a pen he knocks the ball past and then gets fouled in the box. 5. Oviedo should be played as cover for piernar. 6. We need centre mids but I think Neville is playing well and doesn't lose the ball as much

We have played some crap and some good teams we have Southampton at home next week (I will be there) I think we can realistically challenge.

I actually think this is a better indication than the Man U game on how we go this season. As already said we always up our performance for the big games. So this will be a better indicator. That said I believe what ever was done in preseason will hopefully mean we perform 6-0

I think the my point is excited that they would improve the squad and take us forward. I think the summer of jonny and Bily is the last time we improved the squad.

I can't actually see a time soon when we will do this again. I remember when a couple of 2.5mil signings were just squad fillers. Now I get excited about us being linked with anyone.

I have to say the last player we bought when I thought this guy is quality international and got some big club experience was Jonny H. I am not overlooking jelavic as he was a gamble that so far has paid off. But Jonny H was the last of the signings we made on the front foot to improve the team.
