Naismith has done a couple if good things this season but with him in the first team it shows we are struggling for a squad. Can't really complain too much about the season as we have been very good. Conclusions I would draw lukaku is not worth spending a fortune on delefour is a one trick pony maybe Baines is not as good without piernar. We have done well to get this much out of such a thin squad and love barley and stones becoming first team but by god do we need to spend some money just to keep the squad at this level. Man U will be better next season so spurs it's a shame but this opportunity to get 4th won't come up next season.

If RM takes the Man U job will everyone except my original post was right and Martinez won't last the season.

I agree last night did not suit lukaku he looked lost we missed Barkley behind the attacker. When I heard the team it made me nervous we didn't have mcarthy in. We really need a stronger striker to hold the ball up but also get in the box for all the crosses we throw in. I suppose frog a is the closest thing I can think of .

Only 1 season where 80 points won the league. seems to be around 85-90 on average. We need some big miracles in games but it is possible

=) The Martinez thread was honestly what I believed at the time. I could not foresee what an amazing opposite he would be to my prediction. SO I was wrong with many others slating the appointment. But bar the Man city game I honestly think the rest of our games are winnable and we are quietly going about it and getting the results. A draw tomorrow would help us a lot if this is to become a reality. There must have been points turn overs of this magnitude with this amount of games.

If we get 81 points we would need a massive set of results to win the league but I think city and liverpool are both capable of losing one or two and get a few draws. It's not as unlikely as people are making out.

I know this is a long shot (Massive longshot) but in reality we are 8 point off the top with 15 to play for if City Vs Pool is a draw tomorrow and we can beat City obviously we need more than that results wise to go for us. But surely we have to believe in form it's possible.

I have to say I agree with the general sentiment that we shouldn't right him off at his age but his first touch is awful and without goals I agree he is poor. I think it's too easy to forget he is not our player and 20 mil is out of our price range anyway even if he was scoring 20 goals. Is he any better than jelavic in the sense that in his first 10-15 games jelly did the business. lukaku (like jelly) has gone off the boil and doesn't look like getting back that way. I would put the big fella in and see what we get out of him for a few games.
