Need to win this game and put in a quality performance. Will take a big effort and will be scrappy but we can beat them. Our strikers need to start scoring a 2-1 win with Beattie and Ossie scoring

Went and watched fireworks on the harbour getting very drunk and not remembering most of it in the morning. Amazing night though and a great celebration. Happy New Year

All started after bunch of Lebanese kids beat the crap out of a few lifeguards in Cronulla for no reason. Some locals around Sydney beaches have had enough of Lebanese gangs believing they run the beaches so decided to go out and show their support for safe beaches without them. This then turned into a huge piss-up which then turned into a witch hunt and now looks like it's sparked off a bit of a local war on the Sydney beaches. Lebanese people have now decided to retaliate and stabbed a guy in the back after stopping one of the gangs from raping a bunch of girls and have also been going on destructive rampages through the streets of Cronulla. All kind of crazy really and doesn't like it'll end any time soon.

Might be a tricky game this one as they don't seem to bad of a side and Zamora's just begun hitting the net for them. Be glad to have Arteta back for this game although after the midfield performance yesterday will be hard to know who to drop. Hopefully we stick with 4-4-2 in this game we really do need to start getting a decent goal difference and Beattie needs a partner to support him. Definitly a winnable game 2-0 with Faddy and Davies scoring

Yeah he was awful when he came on just doesn't seem to care anymore, maybe he's already been told he'll be moving on to fund the signing of other players. I still can't see why he did try to pass to Dunc as he had acres of space and should have drawn the defender before laying the ball off. When does James Vaughn get back? at least he'll run for everything when he comes off the bench like Bent used to.

Just got back from England about a week ago and actually can't see how he didn't cut it in our squad when his competition was Kilbane. Carney can play both sides has vision and scores goals. Don't know why we let him go and he will move onto bigger and better things i just hope he shows his potential at this world club championships.

He'd be a good signing as long as were not going to be paying him extortionate amounts of money which is probally what he's waiting for. Once Carsley's back we'll have a player who can sure up things in our midfield maybe not as good as keane but he can still get the job done and who knows with madrid looking for a new manager gravesen could be on his way out of their. About waiting for his decision i don't think we have alot of choice if we actually want to sign him. If as were lead to believe he has all these clubs after him well then of course it's going to take some time for him to decide on where the best move will be for him.

They've got a chance as Australia can be very good on their day got some decent players. Only problem is that the Oz defence is quite weak so it'll be difficult to keep the uruguyans quiet i hope they win though it'd be really good for the game over here.

I've got fifa looks pretty good and the game play's not to bad. Hate the manager mode though as i can't seem to buy anyone decent and i keep losing money so i can't buy anyone. I'm enjoying it atm though although i think i might buy pro evo 5 when it's reduced in price.

lol rowlo don't know why you copied my post into yours i never even mention Dunc's pace and even say that he should be partnering Beattie. After today's performance these two should definitly be the preffered choice until at least january as they can attack and also defend and Beattie was also getting on the end of some of Dunc's flick on's.

Just watched the game good performance and amazing effort by some of the players. Yobo was brilliant solid at the back and nothing could get past him and he didn't try anything stupid. The midfield was looking good to and Davies and Cahill both worked well together and looked very busy. VDM needs to get fit but the touches he was showing in the first half were very promising and he could become a very good signing. Arteta was good as always and Beatties work rate was great, he never stopped running although he still needs a few more matches to get completley match fit. Fergie won most things in the air although i still can't get over how he let the ball roll on past him when he could have side footed it into the net. Lots of positives from the game 3 points, a clean sheet and the team all working for each other and were off the bottom of the league.

Well done Palace champions of europe lol it's getting old now how can the best team in europe play so badly, so consistently.

Welcome to the forum mate yeah lets hope we can use the Chelsea match as a starting block to build our season on and move up the table.

Looks alright like to see him start a few more matches he has good pace though and looked eager to win the ball against Chelsea. Will be interesting to see how we do against boro with the possibility of Hibbo,Kroldrup, Yobo and Ferrari all playing in defence will be a young defence with alot of potential and could turn out to be a real solid back 4.

Think it should be Beattie and Dunc at the moment as i don't see Bent do alot than run around the field closing down players or missing whenever he has an opportunity to score. My preffered partnership at the end of the season if we don't sign any new forwards would be Beattie and Vaughn though .

Glad he's gone been reading what he wrote on the other topics doesn't really have a clue about much. Liverpool really are on a downward spiral still can't believe Gerrard stayed their guess he'll probally be gone soon along with Benitez if they continue their poor form. And i've never been on a RS forum what need would i ever have to visit one but i didn't mind them winning the Champions league but it was lucky for everyone in the club they won it because basically i couldn't see Benitez still being given the backing of the board and fans. And Crouch wtf? what's he done to justify a place in the England team i thought strikers jobs were to score not be a moving pole.

We did really well to get a draw and i hope Arteta stays on the right as he looked quality and really caused their defenders problems. Can't wait until we actually have a good winger on the left as then the midfield will be looking good just think Kilbanes past it now. Very happy with both Valente and then Ferrari who looked solid. Lots of positives to take from the game and hopefully it will kick start our season.

Only 15 and playing in the reserves sounds like a real prospect anyone know anything about him

Crap refereeing performance, one of the worst i've seen and how the goal could have been disallowed is beyond me. Looked as if he was doing everything in his power to stop us winning and some of the decisions he made were very poor the games turning into a non-contact sport. Didn't really get going in the first half but really outplayed them in the last half an hour, superb free kick by Arteta.

I think Kilbane's a good squad player but he really doesn't seem to get alot of the ball. Seemed like the invisible man for large parts of the Bolton match but when he moved into the centre he looked alright. Would choose Faddy in games that don't require as much of a physical battle but other than that i'd keep Killa in as he's tall and strong just isn't really on form at the moment. Agree Willo definitley need reinforcements in other places than left midfield need a decent striker, left back and a right back as if Hibbert gets injured were going to be in trouble.

Quite a poor performance really by us but we defended well and got a goal which is all you need to do against teams like Bolton when playing away. Thought Joey looked good won most headers and his tackling was excellent. Osman played well brought a bit of energy to the team however TC didn't look like his normal self not sure whether he took a knock in the game or not. Referee was terrible some of the decisions he made were really poor especially one against a perfect tackle by Arteta which gave Bolton a free kick just outside the area. Neville played well again too and did alright at left back. Hope the players aren't to badly bruised after the game and we can actually field a side against Villareal got half the team injured at the moment.

Been linked with him in one of the sunday papers apparently both us and Wigan are after him and he'll cost 5m. He's a turkish midfielder never heard of him before.

Gonna be a tough match but think our midfield will be to good for them but not sure if we can clean sheet i'd say 2-1 to us with Cahill and Bent scoring.
