Anyway i wou;dn't be surprised if Moyes had a look at Andy Webster from Hearts especially as he's been mentioned before and from all reports is meant to be decent. Is going for about 200 grand so surely good piece of business for a sound centre back who can become a squad player and possibly grow into a quality centre back. Emerton rumour i'm not to sure about although he's quite versatile so could also become a good player for us although i'd definitley prefer Petrov. Anyway i reckon we still need 3 more players: a backup right back, backup/young centre back and a quality left winger. Plus imo we need to get Yobo to sign a contract. Quite optimistic about the coming season especially if we can add a few more faces to add depth and competition to the squad.

Was a really poor match where was any passion from the English team. Still think they can do well but they really need to begin playing as though its the world cup that game just seemed like a friendly yesterday hardly any urgency until the last 20 minutes. Thought Lennon was the difference too that lads certainly got some pace. Rooney looked like a player who was still very much not match fit and well Crouch is awful. Didn't deserve his goal and he missed a sitter earlier on and i'm still trying to get round the reasoning for not bringing a fifth striker at least and also the point of bringing Downing and Hargreaves. Not happy with England!! oh well at least their through now to support the Aussies against the Brazillians and Croats.

Johnsons a great signing and well 8.5 million is probally justified by his goalscoring record for Palace and the pace he'll bring to the team plus the value of other strikers . Just watched a video of him and he's pretty damm quick will leave our ageing centre back partnership for dead in training and he's a great finisher. As for CraccerC saying that Cahill isn't good enough i have to disagree with you and it's not because i live in Australia or anything like that. Cahill will give 100% every game and is a great box to box player who will run until his legs drop off. He can score goals, is a decent passer and he can tackle. I think he was our best player this season in the opta stats no mean feat since he didn't really hit any proper form this year plus he had Australia commitments. Personally i don't think he's anything other than a 1st team starter and is an asset to the team and the club. You just have to look at the fuss the Aussies have made about him being fit to see how they rate him and you won't find a better player for less than 5 million which we really don't have to spend in midfield. To me the only position in midfield which needs to be filled is on the left wing and definitly not changing anything in the centre, we just don't have the money.

With the small amount of money we have to spend i think moyes had to re sign them on contracts for another year. Although they should only be used as backup players and i don't believe weir should ever start another game unless we have no other choice. Joleon Lescott sounds like a decent signing and i think him and another young centre back is what we need. A centre back who could also cover other positions would be good maybe someone like Michael Ball, heard he had a great season for PSV this year.

26 seconds way to addicted already

Just wondering if anyone plays for a team here, or has ever played at a decent level. At the moment i'm playing for a club called Lindfield over here in Oz not bad got an ex bundasliga player and dave mitchell (ex chelsea) as one of the coaches. Got the whole corrupt representative system for young players coming through here to so hard to find a good club and a team who plays football and not just the long ball.

Like to see Moyes give Anichebe a start and give Viddarson the last 25 minutes. Can't see it being a memorable game and should be used to give some first team experience to the youngsters, if they don't play a part in a game like this when will they ever get a chance to show what they can do. Hope Fergie gets a bit of a game and a good farewell as surely he can't carry on he can come over to Oz and play in the A-league instead. Think we'll win this one 2-0 goals from Faddy and Ossie

Isn't Upson out for 6 months bit of a gamble as he might never recover from the injury he's got. Pennant would be a good signing but i think we've got a decent amount of cover at right midfield and would he really be better than Ossie or Arteta. Plus think he's got a but of a bad reputation might be wrong though.

Heard that he was still carrying an injury and was have a fitness test for the match vs Boro. Can't blame him if he walked out though and the clubs keeping it quiet, we need to build for the future and if Moyes is picking weir over him i think he has every right to be angry i know i would be if it was me. Hopefully he'll stay though as we really need centre backs.

Gemmils just signed for them so be interesting to see how he does next season although New Zealand aren't to strong so not the best of teams to be at.

Reg no one has a divine right to qualify for the world cup and its the first time Australia have quaified for it in about 20 or 30 years so don't really know what you've got against them. I hope Timmy comes good for the WC as the Aussies could really do with him and he loves playing for them more than anything. It also gives Everton a lot of publicity in this part of the world which can only be a good thing.

Aaron Lennon for me. Not sure what he was like last season but have seen a few games he's played in this season and he looks like he's going to be a quality player and looks as if he's still got improvement to come.

It all depends on how much money we've got to spend in the summer but i think we definitley need to keep hold of Yobo and then add Ferrari and maybe someone like Joleon Lescott from Wolves. Midfield: be great if we could go for someone like Petrov from Celtic or another player with vision and skill need to create more chances from midfield. Not sure how Wayne Routledge has been doing but would he be worth a look at?. Up front need two new strikers Johnson and Jerome sound like the two main candidates at the moment although if Birmingham go down i wonder if Moyes might renew his interest in Forsell.

Would love Bresciano but can't really see him wanting to come think he'd be happy to stay in Italy, Grella would be a good addition as well but do we really need another defensive midfielder, what we need is goals.

Just read that we've released Paul Hopkins, Stephen Wynne, Christian Sergeant and Mark Hughes. Not heard of Wynne or much of Hughes but i thought Hopkins was doing alright in the reserves. Just hope none of these come back to haunt us.

Still not sure about us entering inter toto cup as just means another pre season like the one this year and that wasn't exactly beneficial to the players. I thought it was only us, blackburn and boro who entered not sure about newcastle or Bolton

What's going on? for some reason i don't really believe this i mean they've only actually quoted timmy once saying his family are his number one priority but aren't all are familes that. Scary though as it has come out of the syd. morning herald that aren't really one for paper talk and 2.5 million you've got to be kidding i really hope this isn't true.

Have to keep Yobo as if not who else is going to play in the centre of defence for the next few years. Haven't heard Ferrari's name for a while so guessing he'll be off to Italy next year and Weir is way past his sell by date and should really hang up his boots at the end of the season or only be a backup player. Stubbs is also getting on and after him there is no one in the squad who specialises in centre defence. I think Yobo might stay but it will take an increased contract and Moyes will have to show him how much he means to the squad. A good way to start would be removing Weir and putting Yobo with Stubbs.

It's kind of funny because i've actually got a norweigan mate and guess who she supports? I'm trying to turn her into a blue but she just can't see sense. From what i saw when i was in Liverpool most people were evertonians and i went to watch my cousin play and both teams were full of young kids in Everton shirts not to many liverpool ones.

Maybe because of our relations with Asia we've made alot of money from that and the same could be said of both Spurs and Man City who have two asian players playing in their squads. Not sure if it's right but could be as i'm sure once you've broken into the market over there you can make a big profit.
