  1. Looks like Lennon and Gallas will be out to, which is good for us. Bale injury looked bad. Hope its not too bad, just for rest of season...although I feel bad for saying it. The game was very good, Spurs did look knackerd tho, which I am sure will help us. Just hope Spurs don't fluke a goal against us or that Adebayor remembers how to score in the PL...
  2. Not being a "Heit's Hater", I tried to look at his recent performances without bias. Looking at his performances this season, he looks like a player without confidence, he was like a bystander for the first goal and just game up as Benteke came past him. For the second goal it was his man who beat him to the ball, Heitinger didnt even challange. For those looking to blame Moyse, I agree to a degree, but lets not forget he is an international CB who has played at the highest level, and should be trusted to play against a team tanking in the league. I do think he should have been played at RB, you shouldnt monkey around with your CB partnerships if you can help it! Something is clearly not right with him at the mo and he should be dropped until his head is right. People say what about Duffy, he isnt experienced. True, but the only way he will get experience is to play, and he has talent. I think Stones should play RB if Coleman, Hibbert or Nev is injured (although Nev should be allowed nowhere near the first team).
  3. We must have the bloody force to protect our goal. We are so so poor. Moyes needs to sort this out. Its a disgraceful performance. They want it more, they are first to the first ball, and the second.
  4. Southampton are prone to making very silly mistakes in defence when playing well so there is hope.
  5. At least we are not loosing, if we are this poor and they can not score against us, hopefully when we staet to play well we can take advantage...maybe
  6. If, If we dont strat playing we need to bring Hitz on for Nev and either Mirallas or Anachebe on for Naismith. Eeven Baines Pienaar has been poor.
  7. Its a poor, poor game, but the Saints have tried to play football and we havent had a clue
  8. Slow, and sloppy we must improve. They nearly had us then, crikey someone needs to tell our midfield that the game has started.
  9. Someone needs to get hold of the ball and keep posession, get our passing flowing!!
  10. As Southampton have just sacked Adkins i hope and bekieve we will stuff them. Serves them right for sacking a very good manager, 2 promotions in 2 years and doing well in the prem. Could be a big win if we push hard and exert early pressure.
  11. The only way we will pay 4 million pounds for a player is if Heitinger is already going out the door, which is possable. To be honest with Duffy, Jags, Distan we would need another CB if he goes.
  12. saw the Newcastle game, and although he, Dustbin and Baines were at fault for their goal he got turned so easily by their striker several times and his positioning was very poor. He was good on the ball tho, passing was better than Jags.
  13. I agree, Johnny is playing without confidence or passion and is destabalising influence on our defence. Comparing stats of who concedes goals in games is with respect telling only part of a story as you have to take into account who they were playing, errors by players in front of them who gave away chances and individual mistakes by defenders leading to goals. Everytime I have seen Heitinger play this season he has looked nervy and his partner has looked even more nervy playing alongside him. Better get him off the wage bill, and free up money. If we can do a Yobbo and loan him out anf free up some money to pay for a loan deal. Lescott, although I favour giving Duffy a run as he has looked good when he has played, I would go for another ball playing CM to cover Gibson.
  14. Could be a catholic thing... (And before anyone tries to burn me at the stake I am a catholic as is my misses, late conversion!)
  15. Watched the game and have to say that with a patched up side we played very well. The loss is very frustrating as I though we should have won the game with the chances we had, but the footballing gods were not with us. Jelly is clearly short of form, but like all good players he will play his way back into form, the team just has to carry him till then. Harsh to judge Barkley on playing in CM when comming on in the last 15 mins, the game was a million miles an hour and it takes time to get up to speed. Thought he looked okay appart from being caught in posession once. What cheers me up is what we would have done to them if we had Coleman and Miralles on the right flank as well as Baines and Pienaar on the left. Gibson and Fellani in midfield would have absolutly destroyed them. We will have all those players back soon (ish) please god and then we can really kick on. We have taken 6 points from 9 over christmas, not a bad return and I believe we will get something from Newcastle, I backing Jelly to score a couple and bring in the new year with 3 points for us. COYB!!

Agree, appart from slipping for the goal Howard made some ggod sves and punches. Coleman was good, he was always looking to get forward and appart from a few defensive lapses he was defensivly sound. Lucky with the pen but for my mind our first choice RB Jags MOM back to his best, great reading of the game, tackles and blocks Dustbin - great header for the goal good definsively, again his speed got him out of trouble a few times. Baines - looked lost without Pienaar on the left, not his best game. Nev - Must never never play again if we have other options, we lose confidence when he is in the side as the players dont trust him with the ball. Failed to track runners - AGAIN, poor passing, everytime he got the ball the play slowed down which made us poor at counter attacking. Ossie - Tried but with no body in midfield getting the the ball to him he suffered. He cant play with nev, as we kept loosing posession the team were out of shape there were few decent passing chances. Pienaar - Lost in the left mid, unlucky for sending off but was ineffectual. Vic - Not a winger and ineffectual Mirallas - Tried but with no midfield support, and Jelly having a poor game wasnt given the support he needed. Showed good strength and technique Jelly - Poor TBH, no support and not given much to work with. Naismith - Looked lively, worked well on the left but still rusty and pass choices were poor. Moyes - WTF with the formation. Must now see that NEV is a liability and play Hitz instead. Hopefully we will get Gibson and Felli back for the RS.

Half time cant come quick enough. We badly need to reorganise and go 442. Get Nev off and get Pienaar on the left with Merallis on the right. Why mess around with a system that works?

He just isnt at the level we need him to be at, needs to retire, become a coach. Love his enthusiasum but hes past it.

We cant keep the ball, we need to get the ball and play some short passing, posession football to get our composure back.

Neville again puts pressure on us with his poor control and passing. He looks so poor on the ball. Now as I write hes flailing around FFS, I would seriously take him off and play Hitz instead.

Phil fucking Neville MUST NEVER play in midfield!!!!!

We are where we are despite Nev not because of him. He is a average player, but his lack of tracking players, his insistance on pointing and shouting as opposed to dealing with the situation is holding us back. He is a good leader, but he is not at the level we are when it comes to playing ability.
  24. Wigan played well they harrried and harrassed us but Nev imparticular wasnt able to offer that protection to midfield and defence, like Gibson by getting the ball and using it inteligently which takes the pressue off. Also by not tracking the runners he made the defence jittery.
