  1. I guess you're right ET, but at the same time it's all well and good to say we played well, but at the end of the day if we can't put the ball in the back of the net there's almost no point to all the good play. However if we can play like this more often, I'm sure some good will come of it.

Im not just sure im absolutley confident that if we continue to play like we did yesterday we will start to climb the table, we looked very balanced in the middle yesterday, just need to put our chances away next time!

  2. By that point we had played the big boys, mainly away. This year we've played Wolves and Stoke at HOME and not got anything worthy from. So yes we arent far behind last years tally but at the same point we had the easier games to come :)

    yep i agree

But im all for positivity, so thanks Phil for this topic, and i reallllly hope we pull a great result off against Liverpool, in front of a packed goodison crowd, I for one, cannot WAITTTTTTT!!!

  3. Simple question. The final sentence in Kenwright's response to the Kirkby decision on the official site is this...

Kenwright has repeatedly said that he would immediately step aside if the right investor came along as the search continues for a major cash injection.

Do you think he's being honest? Or is he lying?

What i didnt understand mike, when reading the article on the os earlier is that, it isnt actually BKs words its the writer stating, that BK would immediately step down. Why that has been put in is beyond me, personally i think its to end on a positive note for blues fans hoping Bill will step down to allow a more desirable chairman to come in.

  4. Awful defeat last night, but this decision has made me feel slightly better, i never wanted us to go there at all, inface i was 100% against the idea. However now thinking about it, this is Everton were talking about and i dont think we had another idea well constructed to take over if Kirkby fell through. So now im slightly worried as to what there next step would be and also how long this next step will take to come to fruition.

  5. i was just about to pull up the os news on this, but you beat me to the topic title!

Why is it everyone who is injured at everton at teh moment, as soon as there ready to be back, they have a minor setback, hardly anything gets mentioend by everton, only moyes in a sentence says he will be out a few more weeks yet,YEAH LIKE THEY SAID ABOUT PIENAAR, HE WILL BE BACK WITHIN 2 WEEKS, AND HES BEEN OUT 2 MONTHS. WHAT A LOAD OF SHITE, FED UP WITH THE BULL THAT GETS SPOKEN OUT OF EVERTON REGARDING INJURIES!!!

Heres the link to more shite news from the o/s

  6. Why do people automatically assume we are going to go through, this is a tight group, athens will be tricky away, in all fairness we should beat bate at home, but teams liek this can cause problems, and have done in the past, metalist, and bucharest... Lets as someone mentioned concentrate on getting positive results from our remaining fixtures and see were that takes us.

  7. i do hope your right...for me at 10mill hes not showing enough.

I would have to slightly disagree with that. I know where your coming from, but i remember moyes when we first bought him stating that he will need a massive run of games and that you wouldnt see the best of him for a good few months, Hes already chipped in with a few assits and has scored twice also, i don't think hes an out and out winger though, he would be better served as an attacking midfielder, but thats just my view... £10mil these days isnt the biggest sum of money, in terms of player valuations, but i do admit its enough to see a good player, and in that, i think Bily will prove to be a good player :)

  8. great win that! good record we got going against the hammers! good old super goose though :D

hibbert could have done better but it sliced he was unlucky i think!

yeah ive noticed that just rubs his face and hangs his head all the time

Maybe standard sold him to us, to do us over, thats why hes so slow ont he ball, and he never wins a challenge without leaning into the opposition and conceding free kicks ... haha!

Hard fought win that, im pleased, but we were lucky, i'd agree with most of what you said Jamie, but first half in partticular most of there attacks came down the right hand side, and i thought hibbert looked quite shaky, yobo cleared one or two for him too, and there was a particular time he tried to outmuscle a player on the line, and he lost out, which resulted in parker getting in the box and having a shot, i wasnt impressed with hibbert today and im running out of patience with his championship style defending, surely people agree? Were now moving on from the likes of having hibbert in a team, i know injuries etc ... Yeah it hought heitinga did well too, but i wouldnt say it was his best perfomance, i would have said that was against Villa the previous week, but each to there own. As we say, a hard fought victory, and one right at the international break, lets get back to it soon when we play Utd, and lets give em' a game! - Pienaar / Neville could be back for that i hear? Not sure about osman

  9. I voted for howard which is saying something! As an outfield player i was going to give it to baines as he never stopped running, seemed like the only one trying sometimes. We have absolutly nothing going forward at the moment, i feel embarrased eusebio was there last night, and we played like yeovil town .. Some serious ass kicking needs to be done in that dressing room, its just one hell of a downward spiral were on at the moment, going to west ham sunday too is gonna be just as bad i imagine. I know injuries etc, but we still have international players out there, with valutaions varying 9m+ But were second to everything, and our positioning for second balls is probably the worst int he prem, WE NEVER WIN A SECOND BALL! How many times do you see the ball get half cleared by the oppositon just for it to fall to another one of there players, we never see are players ont he end of thing, we actually had one or 2 chances last night, and wasted them badly

  10. As people have said at least he was shit for 20 minutes, there was too many shit performances last night. The amount of time we were too slow getting to players, but i mean it was actually quite visible to see that we were to slow to there players, surely moyes and the players themselves knew? Why didnt they up the tempo a bit, that game was sooo frustrating last night

  11. Mine just arrived :) . Was a bit concerned with post problems but all is well. Main Stand this time.

Should be able to have a pre-game beer for the first time in a lot of years as I'm not driving and the coach leaves at 12.45 for a 230 mile journey so should have the time.

    Seriously excited :P .

Haha thats some mileage mate, i hope its worth it and we get a good result, im in the same boat as you, as im also seriously excited haha, so excited i nearly bought an everton scarf for the first time in my life today haha
