  1. More chance that it was Billy Kenwright on that Moon Landing Film than us making a decent signing this window...i'm sick of going into work and hearing about who City have been linked with this morning, and nothing about Everton! We get rumours and occasionally, we get an "update" from Moyes/Bill, but we just can't finalise a deal! Im going to Majorca in 2 weeks and if things don't improve i may sell my season ticket, quit my job, get rid of other belongings and stay there!
  2. Just imagine how much he would complimen Mikel and the Yak up front, WOW! I'd pay 15mil for him definately!! He seems a player that Barca would snap up though if you declared interest. Somebody else would challenge for the signature, but who knows... maybe with our Africans already here, that could change his mind? What a signing he would be!
  3. I would have took 8 mil and bought Tuncay and/or Martins, Im not sure how much Martins actually went for but he is a quality goal scorer with a huge shot on him at times, or i'd have even give the extra 2mil and got Darren Bent!Younger, Fitter, Faster.
  4. I heard a rumour ages ago that United have already agreed that Moyes will be their next manager, and we have already agreed Slavan Bilic as ours? Cant remember where i heard it though!
  5. I think if Vaughan gets another big injury, he'll go... so much potential but not enough good luck. If he just had 2-3 seasons without an injury, i think he would be a top class forward.
  6. We couldnt afford his boots at the moment but... if Lescott goes this week for £25m for example and we get Senderos for £5m, that leaves a bid of, say, £10m and leave the rest for a big contract and you never know! or am I being unusually optimistic for a Sunday morning. Edited: then again would prefer Sneijder
  7. and he'd still doa job for us...I thought he may come back like Stubbs did, with the youth or something but that never happened. I think it will be vacant this year and then we will buy a striker next season like Aguero or Pato (and then I awake). Unless he just waits until Baxters first team standard?
  8. True, I see a Number 9 as being a Strong, good finisher, able-to-score-a-header-from-the-half-way-line, type player...not loads of them around England at the moment.
  9. As Saha has requested his favoured Number 8 Shirt that means we don't have a Number 9 (at the moment)for the start of the new season. Who do we have that could take the Number 9 and do it justice, or do we need to sign somebody with the pedigree of an Everton Number 9?
  10. Agreed! I would take his Compatriot though Charlie Davies, he looks ok.
  11. Didn't Moyes say that he eventually sees Rodwell at CB? I would think that Moyes would put Rodwell in, and probably get a young lower division CB as a back-up. I think Rodwell is going to be one of the best players in the prem in a couple of years, so I would put faith in him... other-wise i would try and get Richards as part of the deal (would have said Onouha but hes just signed a new deal)
  12. I hate to break it to you, but I think this has already been concluded! The S*n are retarded.
  13. Maybe I'm being pesimistic, but I cant see us making any 1st team signings. Moyes admitted that it was too late last season, and that he wouldnt do it again, but guess what... it looks like he's doing it again! I am expecting a couple of loan signings, probably Man Utd players that Fergie doesnt want any more, like maybe Scholes/Nani. I love this rumour though, hes a quality player but i just really cant see it.
  14. Seems a natural progression... for other clubs.
  15. has not set their status

  16. On SkySports.com in saying were after James Morrison now after missing out on Elm.
  17. I hope it's not paper talk... If we miss out on him though there must be something seriously wrong with this club. Naughton chose Spurs, we missed out on Cana to Sunderland, Marcus Berg's gone to Hamburg, these are all players weve been heavily linked with but we dont hear anything from the club until a) theyve signed or their probably going to f*ck us off! Not sure if he was actually at Finch Farm but when he was asked about it he just said "No Comment" apparently.
  18. I think we should take advantage of Boro and Newcastle. I would gladly take Tuncay (would have took Downing with a slight frown) Adam Johnson looks good, and I'd take Martins and Steven Taylor, I'm sure these players would prefer to come to us than rust in the Championship. At the moment I would like to see anybody sign for us!
  19. Oh well it gets better! So weve signed 2 youth players and a loanee-half decent-city reject. 5th best team in england...for how long?
  20. Not the best player in the world but I think Moyes could turn him into a winner, at the moment i would be made up with any concrete speculation...i know this isnt but the likes of Naughton and Cana shows that we are looking... we just cant complete any signings!!
  21. Not worth 8mil in my eyes. Would like to see him at Everton but for maybe half the price, but doubt Hull would accept that seeing as they are trying to build a squad that will stay in the prem... providing where they are in the league, January might be a better time to negotiate a deal for him.
  22. Am I just being silly, or is this a set up... because that's what it seems like to me... Think about it, City want Lescott and will probably come in with an improved offer, and the way things are going there, I would be suprised if Lescott stayed. So by us releasing a 'Declaration of Interest' in Onuoha, that would make it really easy for City to up the offer a bit and add Onuoha in the deal, and all of a sudden, it looks great! To be honest if Lescott even has to think twice about whether he wants to stay or go, i cant see him putting in the performances that he has done with that doubt in his mind and so I would prefer it if he went and we got money with, who I think, would be a decent replacement. Any thoughts?
  23. The more I read stories, the more I agree with Craig. Lescott, himself, didnt help when faced with questions about the rumours. I dont think the Moyes would do such a deal, though, without a substantial benefit to Everton. I just hope that we will be looking at the starting line-up against Arsenal with Lescott at the heart of our defence.
  24. This deal must be a loan, surely Moyes isnt going to get into a deal regarding a Swap for Lescott, if he was, I am sure that he would go for much more than just Jo! If we were going to swap Lescott for anbody I'd want about 4 players plus about 20mil! I am hopeful that given the chance, Lescott would stay anyway!
