  1. The increase in the wage bill will have taken a chunk out of Lescott money and the couple of quid we had before the lescott money. The people we have brought in have altered the wage structure within the club and that will have been taken out of what mney we had to spend on players.

With ADVM, Valente and Lescott going, the wage bill has marginally increased as the three brought in I imagine are not on much more than the three departed. So that still doesn't give Elstone creditability about the budget.

Staying with the political reference, this is the typical opposition response to anything.

If he says nothing you moan that he's not talking to the fans.

If he explains it then you say he's not giving you figures. He's running a fucking company here! He doesn't give away figures like that. It's a legal minefield full of confidentiality and gentleman's agreements.

He's a CEO of a major company and you're just a minor consumer. I'm amazed he's said anything tbh, I thought that after they said nothing during the summer they weren't going to say anything but I'm pleasantly suprised.

Oh please, ok then if you have the answers then explain the summer events to us all at Everton? And there is a major difference between positive interaction with fans, and a letter that answers nothing.

  2. If one knows what Camel lips meant, then it's plain and simple. However if one didn't know and was called it, then that individual could be offended. Every country has different lexicon and regional phases, just has to be wise and sensitive when applying them. Not that difficult to understand I imagine, so hopefully we can get back to topic.

  3. How is Blue 250's comment racist even in the slightest? "Lips of a camel" is surely just a comment about how both spit so much. Not an ounce of racism in that comment.

I know that plonker, but as I remarked if you bothered to read what I said before that some may take it further than it should go.

  4. A bit harsh on Diouf I believe!.....He didn't ask to be born with the lips of a camel.

Be very careful, as though I don't believe you are being racist it could easily be seen that way. As for Diouf, let's not waste any further comment on that man.

  5. just for fun waht are your opinions

I think you're a *&£*. Oh sorry opinions about what you wrote, well figures mean nothing. Players will be sold according to what our chairman can squeeze out of opposing clubs. Lescott is a case in general, never worth 24 million yet would never have been sold for other than that. Ronaldo another, 80 million? Sorry but you're having a laugh.

  6. Sorry, but Osman 4?... RUBBISH. I'm not his biggest fan but he did some nice stuff.

Felli was good as well. Granted not as good as Rodwell, but.. 5?

All Osman did was run down blind alleys, his crossing and dead ball kicks were poor, and his only plus was a shot wide. After your glee from the result, reflect and see that again he did nothing of note. Felliani is capable of much better.

  7. GTFO with your nonsense, Moyes doesn't play players out of position because he loves to, he does it out of necessity. Moyes favours knowing what he's going to get over an unknown quantity, because you can't plan for an unknown quantity.

Grow up and stop with the Moyes bashing.

Behave yourself and stop being pedantic!

Anyway after four years was mooted, he has signed for one year only. Will be interested to hear the breakdown of contract terms, and any possible extensions.

  8. Yobo. Showed maturity and leadership for once, though I'm happy share the award with Billy. What a player that Russian is, simply a joy to behold. His delivery is like Hinchcliffe but better, his grace and skill is like a mix between Limpar and Sheedy. I'm very pleased with his display, hope he isn't stiffed by Moyes negative tactics in the future.

  9. Howard - 6. Nothing to do really.

Gosling - 6. Steady, but again not really tested though he didn't provide a single cross into their box.

Distin - 7. Rock solid and nice goal.

Yobo - 8. MOTH. Proved me wrong about being captain material, very well played. A mature performance which I am not used to with Joey.

Baines - 8. Superb again, really great engine.

Pienaar - 8. Much, much better with the negative shackles off and being allowed to drift. Outstanding goal, let's hope he is fit for Sunday.

Rodwell - 7. Rock solid again, really become the star in the middle.

Cahill - 5. Didn't do a lot for me, silly booking was typical of his night.

Felliani - 5. Another player I was underwhelmed with, he better pick up soon or he'll be back in Liege.

Billy - 8. Outstanding performance, makes his admission last Sunday even more puzzling. Set up two goals, his crossing was Hinchcliffe like, and looked a real genuine threat down the left. I was drooling, and can't wait to see more of him.

Jo - 7. I'll give him seven as his goal is reward for the hard effort he has put in this season. His touches are a little poor at times, but his first real chance he took which is what you want from a striker.

Osman - 4. With the team 3 - 0 up, he still was out of his depth. An embarrassment!

Yakubu - 7. Ahh it was great to see him back, and without trying to sound like Alan Hansen: Pace, power, awareness, he has them all. Feed the Yak and he will score!

Saha - 6. Did well but hope Uefa over turn his red and ban that Juanfan for cheating!

Moyes - 8. Did a little adventure hurt? Now let's see if your ready to carry this on against Blackburn, which I sadly doubt!

  10. Stated by an un-named Guardian journalist as expectation. How you can make that become "Moyes plan" is beyond me.

Fact is where did Moyes play him last Sunday? When Hibbert could have been shipped off and Heitinga and Billy brought on, dear Moyes elected to play Heitinga at center mid and Billy still benched, which makes the article more believable than your assumption lad. Oh I forgot, Moyes love of playing players out of their natural position also gives it credence.
