  1. The rich and powerful clubs will always dodge the rules, only clubs like Everton will suffer as always.
  2. http://www.toffeeweb.com/season/09-10/comment/fan/article.asp?submissionID=13172 Normally I wouldn't bother, but as it's a slow news day I thought I'll share a very funny article about Moyes from a dear old friend of mine. Is definitely worth a read if you have time, especially the comments afterward.
  3. SKy is barely creditable, but I do agree it's going to be harder now to attract the best talent because of the dreaded tax man.
  4. I hope you're being ironic? Pointless enough for you to post eh SteveO? And I am joking lad.
  5. Yes, I mean no not Neville! Seriously originally I would have been unfussed, but the thought of Heitinga in the middle again makes me pray for Neville return, yes our center is that bad!
  6. Distin for me. Neville got the armband as soon as he entered the club, thus Distin should get it as he is a solid experienced pro. Cahill isn't inspiring enough, and Howard is way too quiet to be captain. Yobo? No, not for me.
  7. 7 votes for Cahill, 4 for Hibbert? must have entered on here the:
  8. He is hard working He is determined Loyal to the club Doesn't take crap from anyone Has a decent record with young players Can spot a very good bargain ie Arteta, Bent, Pienaar and Cahill Excellent at installing belief and togetherness to the players, as a unit. So there you Duncan, hope that helps lol.
  9. Behave yourself Bill. Take it you've never been on Toffeeweb?
  10. Here are a list of the managers flaws: He is too cautious by nature He loves playing players out of position He hates skill, preferring a miner like workman grit. And look what happened to them under Maggie T!? He is too loyal to crap players, and too harsh against good ones. Remember Moyes giving Fernandes a rocket after the United game, qhilw Neville got praise!? I couldn't Adam and Eve it. He is too scared, sorry negative in games when we has no valid reason to be. He loves playing 4-5-1, even against teams we should hammer! He subs are always too late, or make no sense what-so-ever! His tactics are sometimes stone age, and hasn't the ability to adapt to anything outside his thinking. Apart from that, he ain't half bad old Moyesie.
  11. That the transfer window is closed, so the better teams with good chairman can't improve any further. That and the Women team doing well, you know they actually play football ALONG THE GROUND! Strange that, must seem like witchcraft to Moyes.
  12. That is totally out of order, and just shows (I do apologise, but this has to be said) how stupid you are being! Jo isn't Pele, but even Pele wouldn't score with the style of footie Moyes employs. Jo, Beattie, and Yakubu strengths are balls to feet and quality crosses into the danger areas. Cahill, Big Dunc, and Bent strengths are the long ball game hence why all were suited to Moyes 'anti' football. Any idiot (well obviously not) can see last season when Jo was given decent service, he scored. He will never score with aimless moon balls to him, sorry to his general direction as there so poor the balls it's doesn't even get to his head! Which makes Heitinga playing in the middle even more strange! Correct, he hasn't got a clue! His mind blanks out at the thought of dropping his beloved Hibbert and Osman, add Neville to that also. Moyes ethos of hard work over skill is rubbish!
  13. Messi will never step foot upon British shores, unless it's a friendly or an shopping spree. In Spain the tax rebate is 30%, compare that to Britain 50% then you'll quickly realise why Ronaldo left sharpish.
  14. Firstly I apologise if this is in the wrong place, but I just heard from several different fans that Rodwell has been sold secretly to United for 20 million, and will sign next summer. What stopped me from dismissing it out of hand was the erring details of the deal, and the similarity between this alleged deal and Rooney's, also to United. Again I apologise, but I'm so stunned I had to post this so inevitably somebody will tell me it's total rollocks!
  15. You know what, that is so bloody true!
  16. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5557569,00.html Funny how he doesn't take personal responsibility?
  17. Howard - 6. Had nothing to do much, except pick the ball out of the net twice. Hibbert - 6. Some say he was MOTH, I agreed he had a decent game but his crossing again was terrible. We desperately need a new right back. Yobo - 7. Shackled Zomora well, but did look a little shaky here and there. Distin - 8. MOTH. Thought he was composed and experienced enough to deal with their strikers, very unfortunate with the first goal. Baines - 7. Worked hard all game. Osman - 3. Two things he did well in the game, please Moyes DROP HIM! Neville - 5. Lost the ball often, was caught with the ball often, defended ok. Rodwell - 6. Was strong in the first half, was lost against the tide in the second. Pienaar - 7. Hard working also, but didn't deliver enough. Cahill - 5. Apart from the goal, he did nothing. Jo - 6. Looked good, held the ball well and made some good runs. Stupidly was subbed. Heitinga - 5. Is not a center midfielder! Felliani - 6. Nice touches but little else. Moyes - 3. Rubbish tactics in the second half, I hold him personally responsible for today!
