  1. What are your expectations for the season? 7th, good run in Europe. That's it. Who are your most famous fans? Haven't got a clue, maybe myself lol. Any places you reccomend for our travelling support to have a few drinks/ anywhere that should be avoided? No as I don't drink any more. What team are you likely to put out against us? A strong physical side to counter-act the long balls/throws, with two strikers to stretch your slow defense. As a home fan, who would you say is your most dangerous player, that the opposition should look out for? Saha at the moment, he is on fire. Any guesses on what you think the score will be? We are confident so a hard fought 2 - 0 win to the toffees. Hope Beattie get's a good reception on his return.

  3. Reminds me of the playground jibes one would hear, like 'My dad bigger than your dad'! It's academic what Vaughan did in one game, his poor goal record and poorer playing record is evident. Jo looks like Bambi sometimes, but is virtually an ever present and more importantly contributes to the team in general. It's not rocket science to see why Moyes picks Jo ahead of Vaughan this season, then sent Vaughan out on loan.
  4. Ordinary people get robbed every day, Neill is just another person who fortunately can replace what he lost (unless some items were of emotional value). He is fine, and he will get on with it.

  6. Johnson is quality, but the club hasn't a button to spend and center mid is a bigger priority.
  7. Yobo for me. Howard made saves, but Yobo saved him!
  8. Howard - 8. Vital saves Heitinga - 7. I thought he played well, actually looked better in midfield. He has no pace though. Yobo - 9. MOTH. Outstanding again, and had to be after Everton dismal performance. Distin - 8. Quality, could play until 35 if he takes care of himself. Baines - 7. Solid. Osman - 4. Apart from one cross he did nothing. Felliani - 8. Get's an 8 for controlling the middle for most of the game, wouldn't of played but for Neville injury so Moyes should trust him now and leave him there. Rodwell - 6. Got stuck in but looked very tired by the end. Cahill - 6. Busy, got stuck in but rarely did much apart from one header. Pienaar - 7. Classy, took out by the same guy who injured Cahill years ago. Saha - 6. Class goal but no service. Hibbert - 7. Solid. Moyes - 5. Just doesn't learn from his mistakes, a better team (like Fulham) would have beaten them today. Poor!
  9. I think the texter has a valid point. Neville is the club captain, and does lead by example, but creates nothing! Felliani and Rodwell/Cahill make opportunities and the team seem more balanced and confident with the ball played to feet. Though I have grown like respect Neville, I said his injury would free up Everton attacking potential.
  10. Yes, as we did it with Howard and Pienaar I think. The deal can be agreed, with money changing hands once the window is over. I hope Jo stays, Saha is getting on and he would make perfect foil for the Yak. And he is far better than other names thrown around at Everton, like Nugent and other goal failures.
  11. Though he is much maligned among the fans, I think he is an outstanding talent. It's also no sh1t sherlock that he has scored twice when partnered up front, I hope he stays beyond the season as he will grow to be a goal machine. Remember, the lad only 21!
  12. Totally forgot about Myhre, didn't think he was all that good but his hands were massive! I don't rate Howard that much either, Martyn was far more commanding and convincing a keeper. But he is the best we got, so gotta roll with the punches and get on with it. Though I would love to see Moyes buy a keeper of better quality, so both can push each other, but question is who?
  13. Anyway Billy is quickly becoming one of my favourite players, him and Pienaar actually makes me excited to watch Everton play again. Quality player, let's hope he stills loyal and here until he retires, I truly hope he does.
  14. Agreed, shocking in fact. But Jagielka did the right thing, no point dying a hero especially with his two kids in there also.
  15. Fair point as Lescott has been shocking next to Toure thus far, let's hope Jags and Distin can play together.
  16. Still many legends in that 1989/90 teams, but far enough.
  17. Either you weren't around in the eighties, or you are being overly optimistic.
  18. Thank you for your constructive post, and no need for me to report it as it's self evident.
  19. Well to be honest there is small racist element to a minority of Everton supporters, so I wouldn't automatically discount it though I believe it's tit for tat from Diouf. Racism is unacceptable, and saying we wouldn't tolerate it yet do nothing about it is also unacceptable. I've been to away games where players and fans have been racially abused by our own, yet refused to stop until the majority turned on them. There are xenophobic forums, namely Kipper, who treat racism as a joke/entertainment. Point being is let's clean up in-house, then we can truly hold our heads and rubbish Diouf or any other claims. And I hope THIS time I get objective responses, as hatred is something I detest when misplaced.
  20. Can't argue with that. We have done well with the players brought in, but just remember we had to sell before we could make moves to bring in replacements. Something which Elstone, you, and other's who are blissfully ignorant like to forget. Intelligent post, pity it will be lost on some!
  21. Would he come here though? Wouldn't mind Forlan or Maxi either, but with Everton being broke we can only dream.
