I agree, but we could have afforded a new keeper in the summer or January so maybe Koeman already has plans for this coming summer. edit: Plus we may have more chance of getting a better keeper once we've qualified for Europe.

But as things stand, we aren't in a position to get any of those keepers.

His stats are impressive (see number of Saves relative to amount of games played) and we only notice his clangers more because we watch him for 90 mins every week, i'm sure fans of other teams would have lots to say about their own keepers mistakes too! He can definitely improve without a doubt, but he's good enough at the moment.

Jagielka wasn't even a defender at Penningtons age. He was an average midfielder at best. Give the lad a chance to learn at the top level.

On reflection it was a fair result. They hit the bar a few times, had a fair goal disallowed. The team worked hard - I think Lukaku and Williams had a few issues throughout the game, I noticed Lukaku berating Williams for lumping the ball over the top of him straight to De Gea.

This ref is an absolute joke

Lukaku is looking hungry tonight and anything is possible when he plays like this. I expect United to come at us straight from kick off but I fancy us to catch them on the break. If not, think the ref will have the last say in this game. He already added a minute on the extra time for no reason!

Think Lukaku will have a point to prove today and I hope he grabs a couple. Koeman must feel Calvert-Lewin can create more space for Lukaku for this game. Looking forward to it. COYB!

Think we'd struggle to get better than Joel for less than big bucks. It's always going to be a risk with new keepers - look at Karius at the shite, or even Stek, started well but fell apart. We don't want a confidence keeper, we want a consistent keeper. Consistent keepers will make mistakes from time to time but will also have the respect of their teammates and understand what's at stake. I actually believe that Joel is about as close as we will get to that for the time being with where we are at.
