  1. 1st point - he was hit at pace since it was Arbeloa running to get the ball, he simply jumped. 2nd point, watch his eyes in the replay - he makes contact with Arbeloa as he the ball gets to them. 3rd point, its a contact sport. If you dont do something without it being safe, the game will cease to exist (its already getting too pansy-fied for my taste)
  2. Thanks Mike, thats just made my day!
  3. fair enough then. Im off to bed. Stayed up to watch this game after a shit day, probably also why im so wound up - I couldve got an early night!
  4. anyway.... It ruined the game for me. knocked the wind out of Utd, unbalanced the power of play which was teetering one way or the other, it was exciting. Real had to push to stay in. As soon as Nani went, Utd were shellshocked (theyre humans out there afterall) and no amount of professionalism was going to help there - decisions like that make you think the referee is playing for the opposition. A yellow card wouldve sufficed (and still wouldve been within the laws of the game, depending on what you determine to be dangerous play) and we couldve had an exciting final 30.
  5. in Champions League quarter final replays against teams of Reals standard?
  6. so you expect the same quality of football with 10 vs 11?
  7. not saying it doesnt reek of karma. I think im most annoyed that it ruined the game.
  8. think this is the first time im completely in disagreement with you mate. He doesnt get his chest either from what I saw. Anyway, if thats he case, any tackle involving speed is a red card because that could be considered dangerous play. Chiles read it? You feel dirty? Bit in bold, I would usually agree with but they quite rightly rattled. Still, shouldve just got on with it. No doubting the game changed because of that decision... Heres the bit from Keane: id agree if the player is somewhere in his eye line, but Arbeloa is sprinting for the ball. Question, as Arbeloa jumps and catches Nani on the side of the foot, causing him to spin and land in a funky way, is that red card?
  9. ....the fact the other player also approached at speed and jumped doesnt enter into it?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuv8QK98I4M
  10. I dont get how people are thinking this! Nani is watching the ball the whole way. His toes touch the ball just as he collides with Arbelloa, who was approaching at speed from out of Nanis range of vision (although according to Keane, every player should telepathically know where everyone is on the pitch) Now apparently the EPL lacks the quality of La Liga....
  11. the ref got it all right, dont know what people are moaning about. Amongst other ridiculous statements...
  12. Not much class but completely understand why
  13. Was Ramos who was penalized right? Definitely a foul Great save again from the Real keeper.
  14. lets see if it turns up in your refereeing thread Cracking goal...
  15. was a foul dude, but agree, just a ticking off, nothing more.
  16. havent played it since 00/01, was still Championship Manager then. Immensely complicated but I think ive been out of the series too long to give a good feedback mate.
  17. Geez, how is that a red card?! Should liven things up....
  18. Couldnt have happened to a nicer twat.... i mean guy...
  19. think i mightve jinxed the game...
  20. according to ITV, Giggs is apparently playing some landmark number, and is apparently older than the whole South stand plus their 2nd cousins put together.
