  1. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21712782 is that not really wrong? "With this result we would have asked him to get a yellow card to be clean for the last eight," said Villas-Boas. Hasnt there been a case where this was punished?

    Zoo's Quiz.

Been lookin at this for a while, cant work it out!
  3. Calm down, theres absolutely no need for that. Last chance before the warning points come out.

    FM2013

kinda cheated a little... Still there seems to be no logic in FM games. Is there a secret to beating Utd?!
  5. found some vin chaud (mulled wine to you lot, kinda), lovely stuff!
  6. Its only 1 game though! We dont know whats going on in the background (injury/sickness, managers confidence in his other players - Welbeck and Nani played well behind RVP) but im amazed that theres any speculation about his future. Back on track, anyone want to have a guess at what the transfer fee for Felli will be? I would hope for a Modric size fee, 30-35m. That plus the fresh TV money would put us in good stead, no?
  7. diving being called simulation.
  8. and booked for diving again... Wonder how much attention that will get
  9. Bale has scored again! how many is that now? somethin like 12 in 12 games right??
  10. how else are you supposed to control a ball in the air? The ball isnt magically attracted to a players foot/

    Zoo's Quiz.

did Dennis Wise stand in at some point?
  12. Rooney is dropped to the bench for 1 game and suddenly hes leaving Utd....
  13. apologies Mike, it was Zoo who made the bizarre statement! missed that bit on the bus
  14. How is that a difference? Nani leg extended to control the ball, Crouch, crowded by players with ridiculous limbs, swings a leg to get power behind the shot and catches the guy clean on the jaw. Still not even a booking for me, the guy put his head in the way and had more awareness of the consequences.
  15. glad hes getting a season with 1 club under his belt, will do him much more good than a month here and there...
  16. the fact theyve qualified for the CL (min of 4th place required) for every year Wenger has been in charge makes them a top 4 club mate. They cannot be judged on this season because its not finished. Even if they finish outside for the top 4, for the 1st time in 15 odd years, thats a blip. Its why Liverpool were, up until very recently, still considered a top 4 club. Took them 3 years of being out of the CL league for people to realise they were no longer a top 4 club, and Spurs have to finish in the top for over several seasons to prove they are a top four club. Im pretty sure they were in a similar position this time last year too, no?
  17. Out of curiosity Sideliner (or anyone else really), was Crouchs overhead kick attempt, which knocked a defender clean out, a red card?
  18. because weve barely had any this year. Im not usually worried about scoring but we always seem to concede which cancels out all our good attacking work
  19. 1st point - he was hit at pace since it was Arbeloa running to get the ball, he simply jumped. 2nd point, watch his eyes in the replay - he makes contact with Arbeloa as he the ball gets to them. 3rd point, its a contact sport. If you dont do something without it being safe, the game will cease to exist (its already getting too pansy-fied for my taste)
  20. Thanks Mike, thats just made my day!
  21. fair enough then. Im off to bed. Stayed up to watch this game after a shit day, probably also why im so wound up - I couldve got an early night!
  22. anyway.... It ruined the game for me. knocked the wind out of Utd, unbalanced the power of play which was teetering one way or the other, it was exciting. Real had to push to stay in. As soon as Nani went, Utd were shellshocked (theyre humans out there afterall) and no amount of professionalism was going to help there - decisions like that make you think the referee is playing for the opposition. A yellow card wouldve sufficed (and still wouldve been within the laws of the game, depending on what you determine to be dangerous play) and we couldve had an exciting final 30.
  23. in Champions League quarter final replays against teams of Reals standard?
