Pienaar is a great player that I see playing in a more central role behind Jelli next season, even if he is on the left I wouldn't say don't sign him if Bainess goes as he is quality who ever he plays with.

Fair post Ablett but I think we had a right to be confident looking at the form going into the game, I for one don't think your team is that much better than the league position states nor is it that much better than ours, the difference being you have Suerez and Stevie g who are a cut above the rest, outside of those 2 you are not champions league material for me nor a team I would fear.

Have to agree,l take out the fact that we sold him for 2.5 mill, if he had signed a new contract and Spurs came in with 10mill i doubt we would have sold him (well Bank aside) so to think that it is our right to sign him for what we sold him for is silly, clearly we are all gutted he can not play this weekend which speaks for the impact he has had on us since his return and the quality of a player he is.

Im of mixed views on this as he could be hit or miss, a bit like McFadden (to a certain extent) on his day a world beater but has more off days than on days, that said has he had a run of 15-20 games with City to settle himself and find his feet? i think if he had that he could be a decent signing for us and would give the fans something to get excited about when he is on the ball like Drenthe does. What would be a fair price for him though?
