  2. McFadden: Put the £2million to better use Everton striker James McFadden wants to save the club a fortune and become the clubs middle man. After a sparkling show alongside James Beattie on Sunday, McFadden believes the £2million rumoured to be going to sign Preston hotshot David Nugent when the transfer window opens in January could be put to better use. McFadden said: "I know the boss stated he is going to buy a striker in January but that is eight games away. "There is still a long time for me to try and perform well and prove myself at this level. If the manager brings in a striker that's good, because it is extra competition — if that's what we need, then that's what we need. "Personally, I was pleased with how things went against Newcastle. I've said for a while I prefer to play as a main striker. I enjoy it and I thought Beatts and I did well. Hopefully, that can continue." 2m wouldnt be to bad what do people think of him?
  3. The news that several bookmakers including online bookmakers Paddy Power has stopped all bets on Roy Keane signing for Everton has sent rumours into overdrive, and with the Irishman reported to have been at Goodison Park on Friday to discuss a possible move to link him up with old friend Phil Neville, it now appears possible that Mr Keane could make the short trip to Merseyside. With all other bookmakers refusing to take bets, we thought we'd let you all place bets in our vBookie!
  4. a big thing would be he wouldnt have to pack up his family and move some other place if he would have it join us! so that would be a + for him

  7. The greatest indicator yet that ex-Manchester United captain Roy Keane could be signing for Everton this week has come in the shape of online bookmakers Paddy Power stopping all bets on the Irishman joining the Blues. Keane was reported to have been at Goodison Park on Friday to speak with management about a possible move, although he was also expected to open discussions with up to 5 other Premiership clubs. Now, however, with several other online Bookmakers set to withdraw their odds on the strong midfielder joining the club, could Phil Neville be teaming up with an old friend?
  8. The 24-year-old Real Betis midfielder Ar (to his mates) has been playing well both in La Liga and in Europe this season. With Betis fighting relegation and out of the Champions league, and Arzu not an automatic choice they may sell. Man City are thought to be Everton's rivals for the player. (27/11/05
  9. The 25 year old Anderlecht winger Chrissy (to his mates) is looking for a move to the Premiership. He was on the brink of joining Spurs last season, but it fell through. The Swedish International is being monitored by Newcastle and Tottenham. He would cost around £3.5m. One thing is for sure, if we sign him, we'll have a field day with his haircut. (28/11/05)

  13. Everton are closing in on the signing of Robbie Keane in January. Moyes has been interested in Keane ever since he joined Everton, back in 2001. Spurs are set to let Keane go after rows about his future at White Hart Lane, and with Robbie wanting first team football, Everton have took the chance to get their man. Moyes is looking for a striker to turn around their troubles of being at the wrong end of the table and with only 4 goals scored all season, Moyes has tempted Keane into coming to Goodison. Everton who have been hit with injuries have the worst scoring record in the premiership and with only Beattie and Bent fit, its quite a problem. Keane is interested in joining Everton, where he knows a place in the squad is waiting for him, however this would mean a wage cut could also be on the cards. Moyes and Kenwright are now waiting for the transfer window to open to get their 3million pound Irishman, before other clubs swoop in.
