Awful defending all started by Mirallas pissing around with it.

True but they had all done pretty well to find a couple of yards of space. The nearest person to them was another Everton player! I wouldnt disagree with that. Both have been frustrating and Mirallas isnt getting into the game and when he does he cocks it up. Im not really convinced that him and Coleman suit each other that well.

Another half we should have been up in. Not created huge amounts but enough decent opportunities and a penalty to put us ahead.

Jelavic does frustrate me quite a lot. So does Coleman... People dropped off for the cut back and he floats it to the back post. Brilliant save from their keeper.

Thing is what we are seeing isnt what Martinez wants up front. We are too deliberate and ponderous. Instead of trusting our instincts and moving the ball quickly and with intent, we are hesitating. Then when we do create a good attacking platform, Coleman has a shot on the run from a poor angle 18 yards out. Aaaarrrrgghhhhh!

Poor from Pienaar again. Great recovering challenge from Barkley but disgraceful decision from the linesman. And now Barkley has been booked. Farce.

Pienaar dragged back and nothing done about it. Starting to improve our movement and pace of play now and we are threatening.

Poor from Pienaar there. Poor cross and then two easy passes to make to players in space and he declines both. If he moves that quickly we can make something happen.

Wow really poor start. Very slow, Osman giving the ball away under no pressure and then Barkley doing the same in a dangerous area.

I dont think he is as bad as people make about but the truth is that he isnt good enough for a club like City or indeed England. He will give us more depth in a weak area and he will be a useful stop gap until we can get in a suitable replacement when we finally have some money to play with.

Shame thats its Barry and not Ki but its a body in an area we desperately need.
