He touched it enough to make an impact IMO. Thought we played better when he came on too.

I think you're right about the Rodgers comment but their performances improved throughout the season and they have started playing this season pretty well. I still think they are a little soft and Im sure we will be (albeit we do have 2 clean sheets already!) but with time and some confidence, the players will start making the most of their opportunities. Whether it be the pass they were afraid to play or the shot they were afraid to take on. Kone was 10 times the player Jelavic was and really dont see what he did wrong in this game. His control, movement and ability to bring other into the game was very good.

Valencia is the perfect Moyes winger. He will run up and down the wing all day long, track back and put some quality into the box without really creating a whole lot. I bet he is the first name on the team sheet! Having said that I would still have him here! Leaving Kagawa out is crazy though. I follow Evil Kagawa on Twitter and every tweet cracks me up!

As much as it will sadden me to see Felli leave I cant help think that it will be for the benefit of the club.

I dont think Moyes was any closer than he was about 4-5 seasons back though. This time 2 and 3 years ago we were playing bloody awfully and Moyes had been here for 8-9 years at that point. We are 3 games in with Moyes' squad who have played the Moyes way for a long time. We have played some decent football and also like when we were under Moyes we are finding ways to give away points. That will take time to change and Im sure Martinez will get there and soon. My main worry at the moment is the form of Mirallas, he looked brilliant in pre-season being really direct and full of intent. I dont know if its because the 4 teams we have played have all parked the bus but he needs to start finding his feet again.

Yeh I do agree with that. I thought he should have been on about 10ish mins earlier. I dont really want Fellaini to play further up the pitch but I certainly think he should make more effort to get into the box, which in fairness he did. It was noticeable from the first couple of passes that the movement was non existent and in truth its only really Barkley that does move in that midfield 3. It was noticeable on Weds with Heitinga that he was always offering an option to pass and that he was actually hitting his passes with purpose (ie none of this lazy slow passing that comes from Osman). Im guessing Barry will now come in and do that job but if for some reason we dont get reinforcements then I would probably give Heitinga a go.

I thought he was awful tbh. Decision making was terrible.

Between Ross & Distin for me and I went with the latter. @Matt - I dont think he should start just yet (especially as the next game is Chelsea) but certainly give him more time to make an impact from the bench.
