Who do you guys think will get 2022? Obviously I'm hoping Australia, but somehow, it seems that Qatar are favourites!? If I were a betting man, I'd say USA will get it...which also seems silly as I can't see(economically at least) the US being the powerhouse in 12 years time that is today. If they hadden't had one so recently, I'd put my money on Korea or Japan.

I think if Pienaar is going to leave, we should really look to sell him in January...which is shame, cause he's been quite good this season and we'll definately miss him. But if we can get at least some money for him to go towards a permanent replacement, then I guess it's worth it in the long run.

The problem is that there are people in the 11 that aren't playing up to their normal standard(Arteta and Heitinga) and we've got strikers that can't hit the mark be it not making chances(Saha) or screwing them up(Beckford). For me, our starting 11, going by recent form and ignoring injuries and suspentions is thus: _____________Howard_____________ Neville__Jagielka__Distin__Baines ______________Fellaini_____________ Coleman_Cahill_Osman_Pienaar ______________Yakubu_____________ Osman was on form filling in for Pienaar before his injury and I think had we played in instead of Arteta in past few weeks we'd got some different results. Of course being injured, we couldn't have played him anyway... Another note is that I think Johnny could definately replace Jags at the moment. Jonny's looks awkward in the DM position and putting him back as a center back makes alot more sense, as that's where he found his form last season. Bily could well be a good replacement for Cahill during the asian cup too, as I beleive he'd play much better as an attacking CM. Though he's only scored once, I think the Yak is our better option up front with the single striker formation. Though I think Beckford is due for a breakthrough...I haven't watched any of the WBA game yet, but I hear he missed couple of sitters. I'd still give him time and I reckon he's gonna come good soon.

Back to Landycakes....in post game interview with Donovan last night he was asked what he was going to do now that Galaxy had played their last game for the year. He said he'd be having a rest and going on a vacation to get ready for next season. Hopfully he only needs a couple of weeks, cause I really think we'll need him with Cahill going to the Asian cup. Also of note was that he was playing as a striker and he scored within the first 10 mins. People keep saying we need a striker and that we need a winger. Donovan fits both criteria.

Voted for cahill. Hopefully this means that someone else can step up and replace arteta...along with fellani coming back, we might actually start playing properly!

After watching LA galaxy lose to the newcastle jets(mid table australian team) this evening, I'm not so sure...Donovan however was great, and think he'd be a much better target. On a side note, I heard he got paid $2m Australian to play tonight... EDIT: just read the article and it looks very tounge in cheek...will intersting to see if it pops on on the official site at all.
