Baines may just have one assist these season, and he's clearly not playing as well as last, but it's not his fault that are strikers are playing turd. It seems ot me he has been much less attack minded this season, which is against his natural style of play. I think Moyes has told him play that way. Just my theory. Particularly noticeable in the Suprs game.

Felli didn't have the best of games yesterday, but just about gets my vote. He made a lot of clumsy challenges and gave the ball away an annoying amount. However, he was still brilliant at plucking the ball out of the air, controlling it and laying it off, he also got a couple of headers in on goal for once. Gibson has had a couple of promising games but he has also made half a dozen horrible passes that have given the ball straight to the opposition and created a chance for them. I have a good feeling about him so far though. The whole team is playing badly at the moment and Felli is part of that, but he is far from the worse culprit. Let's hope we can get a couple of wins in the next two home games.

It's a good idea, but goes against the traditions and way that teams are supported in Britain; we have many more teams with strong support all the way down the leagues. Still I'd love to see an Everton reserve team start from the 9th tier and work up - it would also give the managers a good testing round, not to mention better quality more competitive football for the youngsters. Also, and this may be the real issue, how do teams move from one team to the other? I am guessing that an Everton Reserves team would have to be a team in its own right. Players would no more move freely from the Reserves to the First Team, than they could between say Tranmere and Everton, and there only a limited number of loans a team can have per season; I'm guessing that the league rules would have to change to allow this. I'd like to see it, but it will nean the end for many smaller teams in the league - can you imagine the Man City Reserve team? What about what it would do to teams like Stockport and Oldham?

I like ohuoha, but not for 80 grand a week - surely that would make him the highest paid person at a the club? Even 40 grand a week is taking the piss.

I don't think he's all that, but certainly better than what we have right now. Wages would be a problem, but isn't he on a free a the end of the season or something?
