The Internet is full of 9 year old mentalities Si. Any fan without calluses on their dragged knuckles knows that the proof will be in the pudding where managers are concerned, so I try and ignore the fickleness on both teams forums.

Some United fans need to realize a few things:

Fergie has only won the European Champions League twice in over 26 years.

It took him 12 years in the job before he won the first one, and there was a 9 year gap before the next. It has now been 6 years since he won it, so for 'any' fan to judge Moyes on whether he wins that competition is a fool.

Exactly, they all worship Fergie, if he told them to sing City song's they probably would and the last thing their great leader said before he left was........"Get behind our new manager" and all most of them have done is take the piss, it's poor from the Man U fans, id expect it from the shite but not them.

  2. It's rumoured that a bid has been made.

€9m plus 20% sell on fee.

I did see that Louis but wondered if it was just a rehash of the story from a few weeks ago, it's very similar. Im trying to look round to see if i can find anything more concrete

  3. Stones was my MOTM. He did not look out of place at all, and, like I said, looked our most comfortable defender of the night.

Martinez clearly rates him very highly, or he wouldn't start against a side like Juventus, and it looks like he has a very good chance of playing regularly this season. Obviously he's jumped far ahead of Duffy in Martinez's thoughts.

Feel a bit sorry for Shane, he got bumped about by Moyes and it doesn't look as though he will play much under Martinez, he's just not Roberto's sort of player. Few of the post's suggesting that Jags passing wasn't to shit hot in that game, what did you think Romey?

The guy was given little help from the board, and still managed to finish just outside the top places. I'm not sure how stale that makes him, but there are a lot of Internet fans who aren't giving him the credit he deserves. He has the United job because in the eyes of United he is the best manager available, and for folk to presume he can't handle that job before a game in anger has been played is amazing, not that anybody on here particularly holds that opinion.

From my point of view it was more about his negative approach all the time when he didn't need to. The constant sitting back in games hanging on too 1-0 leads and nine times out of ten we would end up drawing these game's, it was so frustrating. That for me is the STALE part to Moyes and i for one had become fed up of it, especially considering the wage he was taking from the club. So far in pre season Martinez has predominately used Moyes players, yet we have looked a completely different team in patches(Barkley under Martinez looks a completely different player to the Barkley under Moyes) Also Osman and Distin have both made comments/digs/whatever you want to call them(let it be known im not overly keen on this and feel both may have been better staying shut) that suggest that the players are happier/more positive under Martinez than they were under Moyes

Like Haf said i think Moyes had his level and Everton are probably about it, and he did a bloody decent job considering those crooks he had to work for, but i think Man U may just be a step too far for him. What does get on my nerves though is these Manc's who won't even give the poor guy a chance, i find that terrible.

  5. Gibson was not the fittest most played bloke in the world and he looks like a potential captain now.

Theres obviously something there, man u payed 20 mil for him 6 years ago. He is only 25, if he gets regular matches he will still be worth more than 7 mil in a couple of years time. Sell him on then, get the money back.

Nothing to do with fitness, Gibson always had a mean shot on him and could clearly pass the ball, i remember him scoring a few crackers for United when he got into the team. Anderson has always looked very very average imo and has always struggled for form and fitness.

  6. Barton shows passion, sometimes it gets the better of him but there is no question that he puts in 100%. I'd have him all day.

Passion? would say that was more anger not passion, speaking from experience id say he has some kind of personality disorder going on in there, and i really don't want him anywhere near here.

  7.

I think if he really wanted out so badly then he would have asked for a transfer request. I think he's been very loyal considering all the paper talk.

He's only going to do that if someone comes in for him and the club say no, he's always been linked but no one has ever come in for him and i think there are a few reasons tbh, such as the ones i listed above and others

  8.

I think if Real bid £100m for Bale, then in reality we should be saying that Baines and Fellainis price should go up. £22m Baines, £30m fellaini.

I think Baines price should go up but not Fellaini's. As you said before Haf at times he looks like he can't be arsed(most of the second half of last season) he has wanted away(or his father has) from the club for the last few years so loyalty is no big thing to him. He can be petulant and has a poor disciplinary record, im not surprised more clubs havn't come in for him and i still think he will be here next season, his release clause of £24m is about the right price for him imo.

  9. There will be NO auction. If the clause is at 24, and two or more clubs meet it then they are all entitled to speak to the player. The only auction will then be signing on bonus and wages. All going to Felli and his agent. Everton will only get the 24 mil. (still plenty to replace him with)

You watch. Teams will wait for the clause to expire then come in crappy bids of £15m and he will get sold on the last day with no time for a replacement and a big speech on sky sports news from Kenwright

  10. Felliani would be great at any other top 4 club other than united. I just feel that Moyes would find it too tough to resist sending him up behind RVP if he is struggling to break a team down, That would be like a red rag to a bull for Manc fans to deal with.

Out of the comments that i read(didn't read them all) that's what seems to be the big problem for a lot of them they are worried it will just turn into a long ball game.

I was no great fan of Moyes whilst he was manager, i think he could have and should have done more with what he had, but i do feel a bit for him at the moment. The writing seems to be on the wall for him before he has even started the job, if he's not of to a flyer then he could be gone by christmas imo as i really don't think the fans will stomach it.

  11. Sounds like United might actually line up a bid. Fed up with the other deals not being done.

Fellaini must know by now that he's potentially Plan 'C'. He might not even want to go?

It'll be interesting that's for sure.

Have you seen some of the United fan responses to a potential bid for Felli, they are NOT happy at all and really don't want him. Part of me thinks Moyes might be better off sticking with what he has at the moment.

  12. It's only because we got him on a free that more fans are not going apeshit about the whole Naismith situation imo, he's really nowhere near the level of a top 6 team(neither is Vic tbh) which is what we are supposed to be is it not?

Put it this way, if he is getting shown up by Gueye then he is defo not good enough :)
