    We have yet to see if Martinez has the mental strength to carry us out of a sticky patch, I really hope he can. Gutted when DM left us but hey-ho he was never going to be here for ever............. never forget what we have now in a stable top 6ish club. It can go tits up virtually from the off!!!!

    Seen Modric play against Wales a couple of months ago, pure genius, everything goes through him, no wonder Madrid paid big money for him. But did he not sit on the bench at Madrid for a while?

    Only on the bench for Wales v Austria back in feb this year, did not get on, mind you they have a cracking good central midfielder I liked the look of but can't remember his name though..........

    My outside bet for a top 6 finish is Swansea too, I think they have had to invest heavily in the squad because of european football this coming season, they wont be caught short with numbers that''s for sure, was the game away at Den Hag Steve? Also did Taylor the Welsh full back play? Looking forward to having him back in the national team.

    I would have a pass completion of 92.7% as well if I only have to pass it 10 yards! Plus Leon Britten pisses all over him as a player, now this guy is 30 but so much of Swansea's play is dictated by him.......... wish he was here though

    and more I say old chap!!! Takes roughly 10-15 games to adjust to a new tactical formation, 10 games to understand it and 10-15 games to perfect it, I reckon we will have a storming end of season me thinks...........

    Yep sure could, so could Trevor Steven, Chris Waddle, John Barnes, Glen Hoddle.............. Interview with Chris Waddle today saying Becks might not get in the top 100 players in the premier league, I know it's only Chris Waddle but I would take his point of with a pinch of salt, but as i said, Giggs pisses all over him in a footballing sense.

    That's got nothing to do with it Matt, Giggs is welsh and would piss all over Becks as a footballer but I don't pretend he's god gift!!!

    I just don't get the hype? One great goal against Greece, another against Wimbledon and then what? Hate to admit it but he ain't half the player as Gerrard, Lampard, Gazza, I know he was a footballing icon etc..... but come on! No pace, no trickery, no engine, if he looked like Luke Chadwick do you think he would be as popular?
