When I say he didn't suit their style of play, I meant he wasn't a part of the direction Guardiola wanted to take the team. A major trait of the Barca team under pep was their closing down and winning the ball back. Could you see Ibra doing that? No. That's not what he's about.
See Hafs response for the whole "messi is a child" comment.
And I have seen a few posts from you lately in various threads that have mentioned Ibra. Just saying.
Ibra was bought because Barca needed some physical presence in the attacking department. ( not my words, just those of the sporting director).

I would take a 0-0 now to be honest!!

Don't forget the Joe Jordan handball when we played Scotland as well. Plus we should have beaten Russia at home when we went there and got a hard fought 0-0. We can always dream though! I firmly believe Wales are one striker and one centre back away from a very good team.
Hennessey
Matthews Williams ????? Davies
Allen
Williams Ramsey
Bale Bellamy
???
Not bad that!
Coleman will use a combination of Ben Davies and Taylor on the left from now on.

He now manages a team where their fans are wanting them to sign the person named in the thread title.... I don't even think the link is tenuous - in fact its quite relevant...
Arrogant pricks!!!!! :shaking fist: I hope I never get like them clowns.

And just for jona 32 ....the oval variation... personally Im not that fussed on ovals... and I dont think this carries over some of the uniqueness/traditions and history ... but there ya go an oval lol
Maybe my creative juices have stopped flowing!
Thats it! That's the fella!! :jump for joy:

I'd be more than happy to hear about the Welsh league jona, I sometimes catch bits of it on S4c up here...whats your team?
Carmarthen Town, lost 6-0 away to T.N.S on saturday

But the penalty would've put them in front....you can't assume Romania would still have scored a second goal in those circumstances.
Nicely put Mike, should have put that in my post! Still think we deserved to go through though, for a small nation where rugby is the main sport we try our best!

i would say so, but it doesn't matter! The idea of the thread was to learn about other leagues and players
How many Dafyd Jones' do you guys have in the Welsgh leagues
Oi you! Played many a game against Llanddewibrefi!!!!! ( Llanddewibrefi being the village where Daffydd Jones aka Matt Lucas is from)

For sure, it's available for the Galaxy S4 and Motorola's Droid phone. Here's the website.

You need an Otterbox Defender.
Hi Steve, is it only for the iphone?
-

Any one seeing us getting Ben Davies if Baines goes?

Damn surprising Wales never made it to either the World Cup or European Championships in the last 30 years with the caliber of players at their disposal, sometimes all in the same team. Giggs, Rush, Saunders, Southall, Bellamy, Hartson, Hughes, Ratcliffe etc. You got some real class players there.
Paul Bodin hitting the bloody crossbar from a penalty against Romania stopped us getting to USA 94 :shaking fist:

Its bloody foreign to me the way they work it!
Ha ha and one of your in-laws a league secretary!!!!
-
It's certainly a foreign league to me jona

Is the Welsh Prem classed as foreign?

Hell of a nice chap, really easy to talk to, grew up not that far from me and went to college in his home town. Andy king once said he could easily understand the scousers but not a word from Dai!!! Does loads for the Welsh language with the Urdd and Eisteddfod here in Wales.

I don't my sphere if influence comes within light years of the board somehow lol Its something that another more influential person could run with tho.
Will have a crack at an oval in the concept... watch this space
Nice one!

Looking forward to going to see Almeria v Barcelona tomorrow.
The way both teams are playing I would rate any score keeping them below 5 would be a success
Nice one!

Ahhhhh there ya go now... this looks rather trick...
That's really good Robatar!! I know it's a big ask and you can say no, could you please put all this inside a long circle like the one AC Milan has instead of a shield? I'd love to know what it would look like!!

There can be lots of reasons. It's just very hard to press for 90 minutes fitness-wise and someone who isn't really in optimal match form like Gibson might struggle with it. So it's possible that the players just weren't able to fulfill the instructions. Or maybe they were instructed to sit back so their team moves up the pitch and we can exploit their centre backs' lack of speed.
Pressing is a relatively new strategy btw, Viktor Maslow is generally credited with first implementing it.
The old adage of you can only press up to the hour mark, it's damned hard to do that as a team that's why nearest, left and right players close down or press at one time, giving others a breather. Unless you are AC Milan who under Arrigo Sachi where the whole team pressed as one, only 30 yards from Van Basten to Franco Barresi. Really hard to play against a compressed team.

Savage is a blue apparently
Is he really? And this while his son is at Liverpool's academy?

Spot on there, and Brian Clough took a small almost rural club if you like to be back to back European champions. Ask Pep to do that or messi to go to Fulham and win the prem like Marradona with Napoli.
