I'm surprised he's even on the bench to be honest. He's refused to go out on loan so isn't even being played for the U21s anymore, right? Don't see why we should be rewarding him then.

If only the guy had some fire in his belly and a desire to win then I'm sure we would have a good player.

  2. I'm sure Paul Lambert will have looked at the replay of the derby and have made up a plan to beat us. It is now down to Martinez to second guess how Lambert will tactically get his players to run our back four. I think Barry will be told to play just in front of the back four and patrol that area, not getting pulled out of position to the left and right as he was the other night. Do villa only play with one forward? If so surely then the one not marking has to be on his toes against a through ball or over the top one. I really hope we dominate the midfield today, just don't want the back four under much pressure. How fragile their minds are I only have to guess but I want a performance of dominance today.

With Moyes we'd have put some crosses in at least or tried to be more direct. Don't get me wrong, I want Martinez over Moyes every time and I have enjoyed the way we've been playing this season, but there has been an obvious lack of a plan B at times. I think we should try to play our game and control proceedings, but sometimes you need to adapt to the opponent and to the circumstances, or we run the risk of becoming too easy to counter as evidenced last night unfortunately.

Yes but only because the front three of the Shite played through our two defending midfielders. I am beginning to think that even defensive midfielders need some sort of pace, christ as soon as the the opp has the ball they were carving us up, even from their own 18 yard line, they should have been smashed there, not leave them run at us from their own penalty area!! :shaking fist:

No medical background here but I think thats about 4 months in plaster (Basing this on a guy I went to school with, compound fracture of Fibula and Tibia) but might be less with the care he will get. Clean break should mean a less complicated recovery, reset the bone and let heal, should be no need for plates/screws etc. So id say season over but hopefully good for the start of next year. Id love if he could make the world cup but Id doubt it

Clean break 10-12 weeks in plaster. As he is physically fit with high levels of oxygen in his blood might be 2 or even 3 week sooner, depending of course how his body reacts to calcium supplements and oxygen starvation/overload therapy ( to get the heart strong enabling white blood cells to do the repair) Cardio levels will be pretty good after 4 weeks from plaster off. Balance and turning exercise pretty spot at the same time, then 4 weeks heavy ball/cardio time. So what we are looking at an average case scenario is 19 maybe 20 weeks, when is the start of the world cup? He might just make it.

  5. What puzzles me is why Manure only scored one penalty out of five when you consider how much practise they get from all the penalties awarded to them at Old Trafford. The reason Januzaj missed his, was that he was confused to be taking a penalty he hadn't dived for.

That made me laugh so much I will just have to go and have a large whiskey......................

    But he did....2015 maybe?

I'm liking some of what this guy is saying (ten yards for dissent/only captain can talk to ref/abolish "triple" punishment) though I don't really agree with foreign player quotas. Live debates and how much they earn? Meh. Orange card for "sin bin"? Undecided.

I recon that rugby has got it right with 10 min in the sin bin thing, perhaps going down that route is better?

  7. Yes, he would be a starter, remember him against city where he took the piss against Bellamy? His display that day was one of dominance. He has a good engine, good tackler, passing is ok I guess, good footballing brain, good defensively at set pieces as well as attacking them. Needs to be at a constant level really which was not often for us, 2 games were fantastic then two games, well average I guess. Anyone has the MoM stats for him over the years, that will tell it's own story. Strange we were always linked with McCarthy and hardly anyone else? While Felli was always linked with a ''top four'' club? And yes he would fit in with our new style of play.

  8. Only those that have looked over the precipice and not jumped will tell you how dark and disturbing that place is. Selfish to commit suicide? Takes courage to end ones life, nobody knows the mental state of someone close until it's too late. Two childhood friends of mine commited suicide, they just could not take anymore, everyone has a breaking point. It's just most of us gladly never reach it.
