I think he could turn into a great defender, though 8mil might be a little too much for him right now.

I've always thought Howard was a solid keeper, but I definitely understand the criticism coming his way this year. The opposition is aiming for his near post every time and scoring. It's embarrassing. He needs to step it up, starting with Stoke.

Agree with all of this. I've kept quiet on this until now, but today was a joke.

Ugh. Don't remind me. Moyes was great, but it was time for a change, because things got stale. Don't tell me things are already stale with Martinez. We still have a half of a season left, and I believe we will start hitting form soon, but I can't just sit here with "brown(shoe)" tinted classes on.

I'm like you in that I try to give the manager the benefit of the doubt, but there are no excuses for today. The players should be ashamed, and I still can't wrap my head around the whole subs(or lack thereof) thing. How can we expect to keep players like Mirallas or Barkley when we can't do anything?

I'm a huge fan of Martinez, but something has to give. Playing favorites, terrible subs, no plan B when we are down... We need McCarthy and Mirallas back and a squad shake-up.
