  1. Portsmouth (1940-43), Southampton (1943-49) and Tottenham Hotspur (1949-55). Legendary Football Players - Alf Ramsey Friday 27th April 2012: When was the last time that a Scottish club reached the Semi-Final of the English FA Cup?
  2. Lawro's Prediction for Everton v Fulham Everton's performance in their 4-4 draw at Old Trafford last week was hugely impressive, bearing in mind most people thought that, if there was going to be a reaction to their FA Cup semi-final defeat by Liverpool, it would be a negative one. How wrong can you be? United were unhappy about their defending but the quality of the Toffees' goals was outstanding. Fulham have been safe for a while and, like David Moyes's side, they are looking up the table and eyeing seventh place, which is definitely up for grabs. Martin Jol has slowly changed the way the Cottagers play and, although it has been gradual, it has worked. Signing Pavel Pogrebnyak has been a masterstroke because he has kicked them on with his goals since January. A top-half finish is a decent achievement for both sides and Moyes consistently delivers that year in, year out. I know quite a few Everton fans were upset after that cup semi-final at Wembley because they felt that, if their side had really gone for Liverpool while they were still ahead against the Reds and scored a second, then that would have been game over. But semi-finals are notorious for producing games where teams do not play at their best - ask Barcelona and Real Madrid after this week's Champions League ties. Prediction: Everton 2-0 Fulham Here are all of Mark Lawrenson's Premier League predictions for the 2011-12 Season, together with how the League Table would look like if all his forecasts were correct… Lawro's 2011-12 Predictions

  9. Lawro's Prediction for Manchester Utd v Everton (Sunday, 12:30 BST) This is a Manchester United team that has the bit between their teeth and I cannot see them faltering now. Everton are traditionally very tough opponents for United but it is going to be very tough for David Moyes' side between now and the end of the campaign following their FA Cup semi-final defeat by Liverpool. As a player, it is very difficult to raise yourself when you lose a semi-final, especially in Everton's situation when they might be thinking that their season is now over. For large parts of the game at Wembley, Everton looked a better team but I just thought they stopped playing when they went 1-0 up and ultimately that cost them. The only thing the Toffees have got to play for now is the chance of finishing above the Reds in the league table. That would be good, but if they are going to do it, you sense, the whole club - from the manager to the players to the supporters - needs a lift. I don't think they will get it at Old Trafford, though. From United's point of view, it was interesting that Sir Alex Ferguson came out and admitted Ashley Young "overdid it" with his tumble to win a penalty against Aston Villa on Sunday. He was absolutely right to say that because you cannot defend the indefensible, and my thinking is that will be the end of that and we won't see Young doing it again. I think when your own fans are embarrassed by it, as United's are with Young, it is a sign something needs to be done. Young is certainly not the only culprit, though, and we might be at the stage where the authorities have to start to take a look at ways of stopping it. I'd hate to go down the retrospective route of looking at incidents on Monday morning and deciding "dive or no dive" but something needs to be done because it is not a case of this kind of thing creeping into the English game, it is an avalanche. 17. Mark Lawrenson's Prediction for Liverpool v Everton (FA Cup semi-final, 1230 BST) Everton's form has been outstanding. They even had the luxury of resting players in Monday's win over Sunderland, which is something that has not really been afforded to their manager David Moyes in the past. Apart from winning the Carling Cup, Liverpool have had a poor 2012 so far but their spirits will be lifted by the manner of Tuesday night's win at Blackburn. It is so close to call this one and I think it is going to extra-time and penalties. I'm probably wrong but, if he plays, I just have this feeling that Liverpool's third-choice goalkeeper Brad Jones will be the difference in the shoot-out. Jones has come into the picture from nowhere thanks to Pepe Reina and Alexander Doni being suspended. He wouldn't have believed you if you had told him two weeks ago that he had the chance of playing in a cup semi-final at Wembley. I don't think it will be a great game, because very often these derby matches aren't - especially when there is even more at stake than just bragging rights, like there is on Saturday. I have happy memories of playing for Liverpool at Wembley on three occasions in the 1980s - they were all good, because we won them all. They were not always great games to play in but they are great occasions. This time around, as well as Everton are playing, Liverpool generally have the hex over Everton and I think they will shade it. Like a lot of people connected to both clubs, I think it is absolutely ridiculous that both sets of fans have to go all the way down to Wembley for this game. You could say to the supporters that it will be an extra £25 a ticket if you want to play it in Manchester, and that way they don't have to pay to get down to London and the Football Association still get their money. Prediction: 1-1 (Liverpool to win on penalties)
