So sad to hear about Bills passing. Thoughts go out for his friends, family and all those close to him. Not the right environment for him to be in at this time with I’ll health and wish he would have gotten away and became just a fan again to watch his team. RIP Bill. Sad day for Everton football club.

Agree. We tough at the back, but not solid. Lacklustre in midfield. Non existent up front. But when we had 11 I still thought Harrison and McNeil could be dangerous.

I agree. We battled hard, but it was four or five rather than the whole team. Our lack of being able to make a five or ten yard pass was really concerning. Onana tried to take the game by the scruff of the neck, and Doucoure came into it a bit on the second half. Other than that I thought the rest were really poor and it was a case of hang on and see what happens. But I would say given the circumstances we didn’t look like the usual gulf in class difference. And there were a few positives to look forward to.

Gone for Myko. Excellent all game. Can hold his head high. Onana would have had it if he had stayed on. Stepped up to the plate today. Doucs was hit and miss. Some really graft in there, but quality was low. Branthwaite and Tarks were very good. The rest we’re on the pitch, but either didn’t do much or hid. Weird match. It felt like the inevitable until the sending off. That seemed to galvanise us.

I thought Patterson did well when he came on. He seems to be getting back into form after a dodgy start to the season. Should take advantage of the situation now.

That’s ok, would rather we went for it and tried for a goal rather than defend a 0-1 loss. Well done lads, battled your hearts out.

Got to say. I expected us to get battered this second half. But we’ve actually stayed in the match. Got to give them credit for that, and it gives confidence going forward.

Onana off? He’s been brilliant. Fuck sake all that talk about keyboard warriors and Dyche has backed down to them. Garner has absolutely ghosted this match and he’s still on the pitch, yet the best player on the pitch for us is off.

Wasn’t the odd tackle mate. It was most likely a goal saving tackle. It’s right to criticise, and fair. But it’s also right to give credit where due. For me they were both yellows and deserved, but it doesn't make his tackle any less important.

I agree with the young criticism, but we would be 0-1 down as well without his tackle. One moment I know.

He has needed to step up today and he has. Been excellent.

No one ever moan about Gana’s shots again!

I might be tempted to bring Beto on and fire him up. Get him sprinting around and hassling everything.

Both wingers off and two defenders on? Here we go. This is going to be horrible to watch. Nerves are going to be on edge and expecting the usual sickening feeling! Here we go.

This is going to be a horrible 45 minutes now. We haven’t been that bad, but we are being controlled through the centre and the manager needs to do something there. Is Patterson fit enough? Or does he bring Doucs off and move Garner to right back? I wouldn’t want to see Garner up against Diaz if I’m honest. Think he will get torn apart.

Onana has been excellent and we’re going to need him to do exactly the same for another 45 minutes.

Trent has a shot, misses the target and they can’t shut up about it. Sure they are about to give him the Ballon Dor! McNeil controls the ball, takes a player on and gets a shot in that’s deflected over. And you hear nothing.

So far Onana is the only player that seems to be able to pass a ball. Rest of the team look scared to death.

We need to get another body in the middle, they are bossing it there. Our best option is our wide at the moment.
