  1. Extract from article in today's Telegraph Sport.

It was the same at Anfield this week. As Roberto Martinez's side were completely dismantled, the Everton manager spent the entire second half standing in his technical area stock still with his arms folded. Not once did a coach, usually busy and engaged on the touchline, make any attempt to intervene. The picture he presented was one of abject surrender. He looked powerless to make an effective intervention. Which is a condition many an Everton follower has long since reckoned identifies his managerial capabilities.

That is the reason I have turned.

I can take losing, I understand building and always look at the longer picture.

But not trying is what does it for me. You should be changing things from the sideline. Shouting instructions.

    Pumping your team up.

  2. He didn't kiss the badge though!

He grabbed it and shook it a bit while looking towards our fans.

The lad was probably just trying to show some unity during what is a difficult period for fans and players.

    Totally blown out if perspective.

    Exactly.

Everyone just jumping om the Carragher bandwagon.

Players kiss thier badges all the time and it's applauded.

  3. I work with a lad who is involved with Hyde United. He was on loan with them last year and he sorted me them. One day he just come in with a signed goalie top for me. Really nice lad shook my six year olds hand, I wanted to ask him load of shit but didn't want to be rude. He is waiting on a new contract in the summer, I hope he gets it

Sounds a good level headed lad.

Hope he gets a contract, one for the good guys.

Hope you enjoy your match mate.

  4. Just picked up my semi tickets off stanek the 3rd choice keeper. He has been travelling with the squad recently and is going with squad to Wembley. I asked him how the mood was and he just shrugged his shoulders and said we have to get on with it for Saturday. I asked him if the players were behind Martinez and he just said we will have to see after Saturday. He said if we lose he thinks Martinez will go. I said to him Martinez seems a nice guy and he said he is but football is about results. By the why he was a really nice lad. Done me a favour with the tickets which he didn't have to

That's interesting to hear. I wander how much interaction he would get with the manager?

Really nice gesture with the tickets too.

  5. While Martinez' past 2 seasons have shown us we could certainly do worse than David Moyes (like we didn't already know that), his first season showed that we can do a lot better than Moyes too. We shouldn't be looking back, only forward.

Even without that, we need a name. A name that can attract the better quality players that our money can bring in now. I'm not overly keen on Pellegrini personally but there's no doubt he's more of a name than Moyes. Even with a club like Manchester United Moyes' name just didn't have the pull.

Let's move on from Roberto Martinez, but more importantly let's move on from David Moyes.

    Agree with this.

We need to take the next step. Show some intent.

  6. Mirralas went off at half time didn't he? Or did he just dissappear.

No one deserved anything but criticism...they were all rubbish.

Mori I thought had the effort, just bad desicions.

Baines made it look simple without really pulling up trees.

Robles made a few good saves but then made bad decisions.

Barkley had really good spells and then really bad spells.

Lukaku....disgrace. That's not a Cl performance. Learn your level.

Stones....looked good for 75% of the match, bit his mistakes were goals.

Manager.....Did he do anything after the starting line up?

  7. The frustrating thing for me is that no matter how much I hope he comes good and stays....he just keeps playing into Hafs hands.

He is right about his attitude and the way he doesn't often turn up.

I can't work out of he had a purple patch or whether he's just been worked out...just like the team.

  8.

he played in river plate derbies the man knows what a proper derby is. he was telling the fans i love this club no matter the battering were getting. to be honest it made me happy to see some passion out there. i watched the highlight a couple times.

i don't think he was happy he injured him or a dirty player, but he also understands a derby is a more physical match.

    This 100%

One touching moment in a match that was an embarrassment.

When I think of it, he was close to Mom.

  9. Direction......right out the door.

Robot be able to get players up for a Derby

    ...you have to go.

Take Lukaku with you. He was beyond shit tonight. Wants champions league hahaha fuck off, your just not good enough.

One day you may be, but at the moment your not.

Martinez, out of your depth. Nice guy and I applaud you for trying. But sorry your not the right person for the job.

  10. Hey Mike . Are you still keeping the faith In Martinez??????

    Can I comment.

Been a follower of his all season.

    Friend just said

....why do they fall apart after a goal?

    He has to go.

We have the players, we need them to have the confidence. Managers do that.

  11. I'm sorry, it's just a very frustrating time being a fan and I suppose it's easy to take frustration out on forums.

The fans are the victims of Martinez.

Mate I'm just as frustrated, feel sick right now.

Just want someone to blame if I'm honest.

Let's face it the manager needs to go.
