  1. I know plenty of us wanted to give 777 a fair chance etc but there's far too much smoke for there not to be a fire. They simply don't seem to have any cash flow. We're in for a very rocky Summer leading into next season I think.
  2. Yeah...this 777 chat is becoming more than just a bit of bad press. The odd story here and there, maybe. But, globally, this feels like they've taken a step too far. I'm sure fans of the clubs they already own are looking on and feeling uneasy about where they may raise the cash from etc. I dunno...it just feels off now.
  3. Ah man, appreciate it. Thank you Started 2 year ago. After 13 years as a Store Manager for Boots, was about to turn 40 and shit the bed. Like...if I don't do anything now, I'll be sat here in years to come looking back with regret. How could I then pass onto my boys, grandkids etc that you can do whatever you want in life and all that if I'd never had the balls to do it myself? Took the plunge. Quit the job. Started from fresh with no clients, no leads, no contacts and quite simply grafted my arse off!!! It hasn't at all been easy. It's not an easy industry. But so fuckin rewarding when you see the impact you can have on people's daily lives, confidence, belief...the lot. Anyway, enough about that. I'll shut up now and crack on with Everton
  4. Personal Coach. One man band. Work straight with clients, no one else to deal with. Say what I want, be who I am, market as I want...only work with people I want. Luckily (maybe not luck?), all my clients are great people who want to have a laugh while they graft and improve their overall lifestyle. However.....I'm all too aware that if I want to follow through on my plans, I'll need to deal with some level of 'corporate' so and so's at some point. But, in all honesty, I'm done with selling my soul to please a few when there's a massive world of opportunity for you being you.
  5. Yeah, problem was I never had the bollocks to do anything! Until a couple of years ago. I'm defo not an entrepreneur...just glad to be free from the corporate world!!!
  6. Do you have to be a millionaire to run your own business? Is what your worth in directly linked to your worth in ? I suppose you could also say there must be a fair few pro footballers and top level football managers on here?
  7. I was obsessed with business stuff in my 20s to early 30s. Used to buy all sorts of books. I do have a thick MBA one...never actually read it. I know it's only TV, but I'd be glued to every episode of Dragons Den and The Apprentice...I'd buy all their books too! Not sure what happened or when I veered away from it. I always wanted to work for myself from being a teen. Finally took the plunge a couple of years ago at 40...only to realise I was quite rusty! Haha. Thank fuck for mentors!!! It's gone well and, honestly, I can't see myself ever being employable now
  8. I get you mate, I do. It's just, well, you seem to be a bit of an alarmist. Sometimes! In previous posts you've mentioned the levels of debt as a whole. Taking in stadium costs, Moshiris money, 777 money all into a oner. But as said...777 won't be debt. Moshiri has, I'm pretty sure it's been stated, said he doesn't expect his money to be paid back just yet and its interest free, and the stadium money is...well, building a nice big income generating asset. By no means do I think it's all good and smelling of roses. I just think, if you break it down into it's individual pots, a big chunk of the debt is kind of 'safe'. The worrying debt it owed to sharks like that mysterious Cheshire based finance company who are charging a fortune in interest. Less concerning is the debt owed to the Evertonian lads, who, to be honest, I kinda wish hadn't been blocked by the afore mentioned lot. (Sorry, get the 2 companies names mixed up. They're pretty similar!).
  9. Did what we had to do...which was fuck all really Chermiti looked good again. More minutes please. We were solid at the back. As per. Not much else to chat about.
  10. Phew. Youngs off. Harrison tends to do brill tracking back...but frustrates at the other end.
  11. Young being massively targeted by Luton. It might be worth bringing Coleman on for him. Godfrey to LB. We're doing alright. There's more calmness to our play. We're passing it round nicely. Just doing what we need to do.
  12. Was hoping that slipped under the radar...
  13. Pah. Wee Young too easy to overpower there.
  14. Get in! Massive onus on them to come at us now...leaving themselves wide open to our long looping balls...
  15. Ooooh.... Will it be one???
  16. Nice bit of passing around here from us, considering we're trained not to pass
  17. I'm not happy Gana's wearing leggings. It's fuckin May mate...red hot
  18. That Chong is a bit lively...kick him!
  19. Strong line up. Hopefully Chermiti gets more minutes. DCL can hopefully get another goal...finish the season strong.
  20. Any club...or business...being bought is with borrowed money. That's just business. The whole business world works on borrowings and debt. The concern is do 777 have the cash flow to keep us going while we build the stadium? Or, at least, have access to the cash needed. That, I think, is the part the Premier League are trying to get 777 to prove. I think most of the debt the club might be labelled as having, while scary as fuck to us 'normal' people, probs isn't too bad for the club.... Moshiris debt is interest free and paid back at a time to be agreed (I'm sure that's been stated?) 777 debt won't be debt, so long as they get the club And a chunk of other debt is linked to a nice big shiny new stadium which, on paper, will prove a valuable asset to the business to offset a load of the debt on the accounts. I think a spanner in the works for the football side of things is trying to balance PSR. Non of its ideal. But...well...it's business unfortunately. I'm no expert and I won't pretend to know the facts, it's all too complicated for me...hence I view it in Laymans.
  21. Admin, marketing, cleaners, retail, kitchen, groundsmen... There's about 700 employees. And a further 1000ish casual staff. Surely you don't think a Premier League football club only has 'millionaire footballers' to pay???
  22. It seems mega scary to me how 777 seem to be scampering around to raise the finance. I say this because our finances already seem to have many tangled involvements. 777 appear to be bringing even more to the table. Just hope 'something' gets sorted asap to at least allow Thelwell and Dyche some sort of scope to plan for next season.
  23. Absolutely. Over the past several years, it's been common place on here to question the players, they don't care, they aren't playing for the club etc etc. I reckon most of us have made the call. All we wanted was for the players to show fight, dig in and give us 'something'. OK. It took a slap around the bonce to get it across. But we got the results. HR can deal with the rest....
  24. Pretty sure you haven't always maintained that position. IIRC, you were calling for Dyche to be sacked several times otherwise we'd go down? I'm terms of success...many of us (obviously wronguns, aren't we?!) define 'success' based on the current reality of where the club is. Many of us nutjobs, at the beginning of the season, defined 'success' as not having to worry about relegation. Maybe 10th at best, down to 14th but clear of relegation with plenty of games to spare. Of course, the points deductions reshaped our reality. So, again, should reshape what we define as 'success'. Non of us want this to be our reality season after season. All of us want to get back to the days of defining success as pushing at the top and winning stuff. Backing your beliefs with how many years you've supported the club, 'I've seen this in the 80s...', I expect the School of Science...is fine. But makes no difference to the current reality the club is in. It doesnt make you a bigger fan than those who accept where we are. Or that we've seen no progress in over 30 years. One little step at a time...otherwise we lose our sanity
