  1. I think before any offer is even considered by Chelsea, Jose will have him back for the summer to have a look at him. He's sure better an option that what Chelsea have right now. Thing is, if Jose decides he wants to keep him, then fair play. If he decides he's not good enough, do we really want to buy him? I thank him for his services this season, but I think there are better options out there. I'm not convinced these young loanees give their full heart into it. One eye is maybe always on their 'bigger, home club'.
  2. The monies not great. Not a touch on the champions league. But it's still extra income. Hopefully the accountants at the club are busy with their calculators working out how much extra bob can have in his transfer budget. Plus the main thing is the raised profile of the club, the added attraction to potential new signings (maybe, dare I say it, investors?) and that it is the next step. A step in the right direction. The side note being that the fact some fans don't like the idea of the Europa cup is more a fault of uefa's and how they have set it all up than anything else.
  3. He's done well for his first ever season as a first teamer. This is his big learning season. I would expect him to hit 10+ goals next season. Not only that, but be more proactive with what he does with the ball. More end product. He has no assists this season. I reckon he'll get at least 5 next season. Big player for us over the coming years.
  4. Quite happy to take mikes and rom's word for it. We've been played by the media juggernaut!
  5. I was wondering that myself. To be fair, at the 96th minute the noise on TV from Everton fans did go off the scale. Have we been manipulated? Possibly.
  6. Not at all. I'm quoting Cotto. Listen, I watched the game on TV. It was part of the deal to agreeing to go away to Scotland! !! If the atmosphere was better than perceived on TV, then fair enough. Maybe there was too much hype around the game for the wrong reasons. I'm glad it's done now, we can just carry on and let the top 3 sort it out themselves!!!
  7. So sky edited out the Everton fans noise and amplified the city fans? How do they do that during a live game? From the sounds of it, that's what they have done. Bit poor that really. Clever, but poor.
  8. Not being flash, just saying, because some people on here are more intelligent than yourself (you just seem to have the outlook of a spoilt teenage boy), may wonder why the fuel costs so much. Ok. So I guess by some comments that those who weren't there have no right to criticise the perceived lack of atmosphere? On the basis that 'you didn't go'. Fair enough, I can take the flack for that. By the same principle, you have no right to criticise a pro footballer. A pro football manager. A chairman. A CEO. The list goes on. And on. The 'you weren't there/haven't been one so you can't comment' is weak and flawed. And only used when no other constructive input can be thought of. I can't imagine throwing £200 to watch a game in the hope that we lose. I'd rather do what I did this weekend and go to Scotland to visit the wife's family. The atmosphere was brilliant. Had a good laugh and top weekend.
  9. Making a euro game will be high on my list next season! Never been to a euro game...that will be another one ticked off the list!!! As for the crowd thing...maybe too much is made of it, as in we expect too much. I went to the cauldron (atletico madrid) in April. It was the 10pm ko. That was Ok. Couple of year before, did the Nou Camp. Again, it was Ok. And couple year before did the bearnabau, again it was Ok. Never anything special. So yeah, maybe it's an expectation thing.
  10. Oh here we go. Gobshite returns to form. Never takes long. I'll tell you why I don't go to the game...I live in Cumbria. Have a wife and 2 kids and a nice mortgage to pay (you have any of these things?) Being a family man, they come first. I can't go to a game without taking at least my teenage step son. So on the day...tickets, food, drink, programme, it will be £100 at least...Plus the cost of fuel and parking...another £60-£80 (fuel wise I drive a petrol 2.3 turbo, about 20mpg on a good run!!!). I've been a couple of times this season. Each time I have come away thinking 'damn, shit atmosphere, could have done more with that money....'. So I deliberately only go to 2-3 games a season to keep the 'romantic' feeling. It's great for those who go regular, and fair play to you guys and girls. But my priorities are different. That explain enough, moron?!!!
  11. It's Ok. I'm as frustrated as you and the others too. More pissed at the crowd though. Terrible. But hey Ho, let's be honest...5th nailed. Maybe knowing that before the game contributed to it all a bit?
  12. Now now...don't aim your bit of steam at me. I wanted the win as much as anyone. Just saying, the slight (note the word slight) consolation. I fully agree with the arsenal thing too...One of my thoughts after the game.
  13. Barley for me. Looked at his best again today. Strength, vision, creativity, power. He had it going on today.
  14. Blah. Never feels good to lose, especially at home. The only slight consolation being....you know what!!!
  15. 6 mins. ...come on!!!
  16. If anyone doubts Martinez wanting to win this game...just see how angry he was there as Naismith wasted another 'shot'!!!
  17. Boooooyah! Game on.
  18. It's a good point matt. 4th isn't out of reach yet. 4th would be massive for us. The fans in the stadium need to get behind the boys.
  19. Pundits being real critical of the crowd. Why waste your money going if your just gonna sit on your hands? Don't care want anyone says, you are lying if it feels good to be losing. COYB! !!
  20. Oh shit...you seen that? 3 CB'S today...plenty of attacking I think!!!
  21. Attack attack attack!!!
