  1. Feel sorry for this guy. Who was he brought in to replace? If he was our answer to Lukaku leaving then he should have been starting ahead of DCL every week. To me it seems like the fact we got him 'cheap' because of his contract situation mentally puts him down the pecking order. He hasn't shown anything amazing yet but who has? When we signed him he should have been our main striker or loaned out. Sitting on the bench getting a handful of minutes is bad business in terms of career progression and player value. This stinks of a player being frozen out because the current manager didn't sign him.
  2. Confirmed on BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42715223
  3. Not a great advert for the PL is it. Pretty slow paced
  4. A win is a win but I think some of you are getting carried away talking about not giving them a sniff. They hit the post twice and nearly had a tap in open goal (can't remember who it was). Could have ended very differently very easily. Hopefully the run will instil some confidence though.
  5. Ridiculous amounts of snow down here in the Cotswolds. How's it looking up north? If it's anything like up here we won't be playing today.
  6. There are no quotes or any hints of any sources at all. Just someone saying he's "back in consideration". Hopefully bullshit
  7. Yeah he's playing well. Getting lots of praise.
  8. This season is most likely a lost cause in terms of achievements. If we can stay up with unsworth in charge then I say give it to him until the end of the season and get a new manager then. We'll have time to assess all options then rather than be tied into an allardyce type character for the long term when that really isn't what is needed. The only problem would be the Jan transfer window. I'd say get in a new striker, see what defensive bargains there are out there and make the signings a collective decision between Walsh, unsworth and the board. Big money signings without a permanent manager without a long term plan is never a good idea. Also it gives the current players time to gel and by the end of the season we should be seeing the best out of a bunch of players who are quite frankly ten times as good as they're currently showing.
